Kia Ora! I’m Claire Fernandez and I’m a Junior studying Biology at Boston College. I am currently studying abroad at the University of Otago in New Zealand and have been thoroughly enjoying my time here. Before classes, I spent a couple of weeks traveling throughout the country and using the skills I learned from leading for OA to go on some epic adventures. Some highlights have been hiking Roy’s peak for sunrise and going to Milford Sounds. OA has given me the confidence to safely explore the outdoors and make the most of my time here in New Zealand.

We’ve had a month packed with trips at Outdoor Adventures! 🌲🎿 From training trips for our leaders-in-training, participant hikes, and cross country ski trips, we’ve been taking full advantage of the spring weather. Stay tuned for more adventures to come in April!

Over Spring Break, Andrew and Colin led participants to Death Valley National Park in California! They had some awesome hikes, sunsets, and other adventures (despite their lack of a high clearance vehicle). Another national park in the books for OA ✅

Big weekend for OA! ❄️🏔️ Our leaders braved the snow and got out to New Hampshire this weekend for hikes at Mt. Monadnock and Crotched Mountain. Our LITs had a great training trip and Ellie and Alex survived the icy roads with their strong crew of participants. More trips coming soon!

Outdoor Adventures is back!!! ❄️🥾 Leaders Andrew and Kate led a group out to Arethusa Falls this past weekend! They enjoyed lots of snow and an amazing frozen waterfall. Check out our page on Campus Rec to register for more awesome trips like this one!!

You must either attend the info meeting or email a trip leader if you are interested in joining one of our trips ☀️ everyone is encouraged to come even if you aren’t sure what trip is right for you!
