Issaquah Pest Control Reviews

Todd was fantastic. We had a major beehive in the structure of our house that was causing a lot of activity on our deck. Within two days, Todd terminated the hive and haven't had any bees since. What I especially appreciated about Todd was his follow up communication. Since terminating our beehive, Todd has followed up twice to make sure we haven't had any problems since. If you're looking for someone to do a thorough job, look no further than Todd at Issaquah Pest Control. You won't regret it.

I've been working with Todd for just a short while now and all I have is good things to say! He's been doing this for quite awhile and it's very evident in the knowledge he provides. I'd recommend him if you're looking for great, affordable and reliable service. 5 stars out of 5!!

Overall it’s good service, but sometimes they do not come to the backyard even I provided the code to enter the backyard.

The tech sent out, Josh, was professional courteous and explained the work thoroughly. The results were effective and so far, so good.

I had tried for 2 years to get rid of the rats, but I couldn't keep ahead of them. Issaquah Pest did it.

So far, these people are wonderful, and I’m glad I found them! Not only is their office communication spot on (with respect for your communication preferences), but the technician who came to my house was super-thorough and talked me through everything he was planning. They also appear to have a handyman service, and I’ll let you know how that goes. :) Why only 4 stars? Two reasons: 1. Not enough data on efficacy yet. They only came out this week for the first time! I will probably update in a few months… but I love the communication and transparency so much that I had to review sooner. 2. The tech hadn’t heard of the chemical that keeps spider webs from attaching to a house. Either I’ve been snowed by 3 prior companies (in various areas and states of operation), or they’re missing a crucial spider-free kit component. Time will tell!

Have been a recurring customer for ~9 months. Technicians were always cordial, but our insect/spider problem never fully went away. Recently, I've been handling the problem myself with better results. After cancelling my recurring service, was told that I would need one last treatment. Not ideal, but I understand that I was cancelling the day before so I agreed. The technician showed up for 2 minutes, picked up two unused rodent traps, billed me $50 and promptly left. No insecticide sprayed, no bait, nothing. Despite never fixing the problem, I've had no big complaints over the past 8 months. But this last interaction with Issaquah Pest Control has left a sour taste in my mouth. Edit: Revision from 2 stars. Issaquah Pest Control reached out promptly to try and make the situation right. Really appreciate the effort they took in clarifying the miscommunication -- very indicative of an honest company!

The office person receiving the first call from the customer did not address enough concern to the individual customer's problem. If she did, my problem should have been solved a lot earlier without having to come back and forth twice. She should collect more information from customer and address the problem (the height of the wasp nests) earlier. If the treatment guy allowed the customer to view how the treatment work was carried out, maybe from a distance, it would be more transparent.

Unfortunately, I cannot leave a good review for this company. We had used them for pest control for years with no issues. But, then we hired them to replace the insulation in our crawl space and to install a pump with a french drain to remove any water that comes in when it rains heavily. It was a disaster. The crew showed up and did not have all the tools they needed, including charged batteries for power tools. They had to borrow a shovel from our tool shed. They left old insulation under our kitchen floor and covered it up with new insulation. The pump they installed was cheap, very loud and they did not set up the drain field at all so the water that would get pumped out would go right back under the house again. We had them remove the pump and patch the hole they made but even that was done poorly. It took several phone calls but we did finally get a refund. This was such a bad experience that we canceled our pest control service as we no longer have confidence in them.

I am a bit skeptical about the high rating here. I have been a current customer of this establishment since June 2023. They have been decent as a pest control company, nothing spectacular. They did not point to any significant active rodent activity in the crawl space, but the recent droppings discovered there say otherwise. They pointed to a mold issue in my attic, which was useful. They also offer remediation for the mold removal and replacing insulation, and this was astronomical! I got a couple more quotes for this work and got it done in a professional way by saving at least a couple of grand. The other company also cleaned up the crawl space and a few dead rodents that had been there for a while. With such a high rating, I would have expected this to be done by this establishment, which never happened. The initial inspection and trap setting etc. costs 600 USD. Also, they did lure me into a 64.99 monthly payment for a quarterly "inspection" which I called today to cancel and for some reason they want to charge me for Jan as well. I am pretty underwhelmed by what was offered to me in return for a pretty significant price here.

I caution you about hiring this company unless you have time to manage them yourself and spend hours of your time making sure the job is done correctly. I’ll be as brief as possible. Hired this company for normal service, they forgot rodent bait stations (according to the tech, who I approached during our service) and we got a rodent issue. They recommended a 3-hour healthy home inspection to determine what work needed to be done to prevent future infestation. This was a decent experience, the tech recommended replacing our vents, rebuilding our crawl space door and replacing the vapor barrier. They missed the garage weather-stripping and attic caulking that a previous tech had pointed out, but I figured we’d focus on securing the crawl. Estimate for those two jobs was about $4k in total. Expensive, but I thought I was hiring the best. They came out to rebuild the door and replace the vents. Instead, they stapled mesh over our existing vents (see pictures) and cut a piece of particle board for the crawl space door ($500 just this part, photo with blue frame), and put a 4 foot piece of steel pest block over one of my 1-foot long vents – without asking – instead of replacing that vent. They said the estimate didn’t include the extra digging/work that vent would need to be replaced – how is that the customer’s fault? The tech also explained that he would have built the door better “had he known more” before he came, and we would likely still experience water issues. I also found a dead mouse in our yard that day that I assume they’d drug out from the crawl. I couldn’t believe the “quality” of work and escalated to the manager. It took a full week and multiple reminders on my part to get a call back (I had already paid in full). The manager promised they’d come back and replace the vents and fix up the crawl space door, including installing new trim “as a favor,” and we’d get a discount after he investigated what went wrong. A week later, the manager was supposed to call me back before they came again, we had a call planned for 10:30 and he didn’t call me – he said he had it on his calendar for 11:30, I count this as another miss and proof the company is broken from the top down. Instead of doing the job correctly, the techs installed vent covers over the old vents, again. They also fiddled around with the door, added two uneven handles to the particle board and used interior molding to frame the door, which I had to pay to have replaced with proper outdoor materials from a different company (photo with white moulding). I wish they hadn’t even touched it because they clearly didn’t know what they were doing. I was promised a discount and never received one. I also feel like I was harassed by the manager and “another owner” to get on the phone after I told them I couldn’t invest any more of my personal time into resolving these issues -- I'd already spent 10 hours documenting and discussing their errors. I work full-time, I don't have extra time to manage their business. I paid the full bill and cancelled service. They have my card – if they wanted to grant me the refund/discount, they could have without having another phone call with me. I think this is their MO – poor work, hope you don’t notice, if you do notice, multiple phone calls and delays to “make it right,” hoping it will also shut you up. That’s the only way I see all of these reviews being so high. BUYER BEWARE. I will never work with this company again and I’ve told my neighbors, friends, family and now you to STAY AWAY unless you have endless money and patience for a job done poorly. Super disappointing.

Issy Pest and their multi-visit approach seemed reasonable, but a few days after their "warranty", pests returned to our home - squirrels in the attic. They had set giant spring traps, appropriate to rats, not tiny squirrels or mice, and left them in the attic and under the house after their departure. They were picked clean of bait, but if they had caught an animal, it would have rotted under the house.

10/2/2023- Watch out, they walk all over other peoples property, not just the shared property line, however technician proceeds to walk to opposite side and bring two white buckets and poles and spend time on that side. Went back and fourth 3 times. Technician did not ring our door bell until after he saw our side gate camera, not acceptable or professional. What was in the white buckets? Video sent to Jennifer at head office. Waiting for a call back.

Extremely bad instance of a service despite spending 1 hour on phone 2-3 weeks ago just explaining the issue so they understood and take care of rodent issue in living areas inside house. They did not even bother to enter house. On top sent me their invoice for payment for such a bad service.

3 times now I have gotten poor service. I have given up on your company, even discussed the issues with manager Jordan and he blamed us for all the problems. When I get my receipt it indicates they have done all this work but nothing was done because we watch them do the service.

I would not recommend this kind of service where the company does not take ownership of what their technicians are communicating to the clients. Their staff are not their representative and hence they will all keep changing their words. It's the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I had some rodent issue last year in my house and called Issaquah Pest & Home services. Getting an appointment was easy. The technician arrived and said he had to do some follow up and explained some package for quarterly service. We Immediately signed up for the service and the technician came again to inspect within a week. We were told if we didn't sign up then we will have to pay some $X for the first service and it will be considered an ongoing process so we had to decide right away. After signing up for a package that was explained to us, we never received any follow up calls from them for almost a year. Now when we tried calling them ourself, they say that that technician is no longer with them and it was a miscommunication and all the money we paid was for just the three visits. I did tell them that the technician left the house saying that I didn't have to call them and they will call back and schedule.

Felt it was a rip off and more small talk. We had an issue with mice. They came and put a few victor traps. That helped catching a few - problem remains unresolved. I then bought and put my own victor traps. The victor traps are available at many stores at less than 2 usd. I got them for $1.85 at Lowe’s. Felt no need to pay 300 plus dollars for them to come , do their martketing spill , put the traps and come after two weeks to remove them. Invariably, the mice is caught the first day itself and the customer is the one disposing it off as they cannot wait for two weeks. These guys have an additional 75 usd charge if you ask them to come and dispose before two weeks. Value for money is rediculous.
