I was recommended this business by a friend and for those who don't have time to read a lengthy review, short story is, I won't be recommending them to anyone in the future. DO NOT USE.
I contacted this company yesterday and arranged for a 3m skip to be delivered to my home address in Woolloongabba. I spoke to the lady on the phone and informed her that I had a very narrow driveway. At no time was I requested to provide any measurements and I was told that it would not be an issue. Much to my delight. I paid for the skip over the phone on my credit card and went about my business.
This morning I received a phone call from the driver who informed me that my delivery couldn't happen because they had sent a large truck and they would need a smaller truck for my skip. He commenced measuring on site and made a phone call to his office. He then informs me that the trucks at this company will all be too large to deliver to my address and that I will need to contact the office for a refund.
Keeping in mind, I have earthmoving happening on Monday and today is my last day for a delivery to occur.
I have begun to stress somewhat and contacted the office for a refund. Upon speaking with a male person, he informs me that he can arrange a refund, but there will be a surcharge. I stated that I was a single mum of two and that I am now inconvenienced because it is too late for me to arrange another delivery to occur. He then stated to me that it was an inconvenience to them and that is apparently more important than the inconvenience I have suffered. He has assured me that their normal fee for a 'non delivery' is over $130 and with that statement, I got the impression that I should be grateful for the fact that he won't be charging me the full amount.
The lady on the phone yesterday never requested any dimensions for delivery and if she had, I would have gladly obliged and provided anything upon request. Keeping in mind that this is not my area of expertise and I would expect the company I am hiring a skip from, to provide me with any requests for them to be able to provide their service. I am not a mind reader in this instance.
I was provided with a refund, less $10 surcharge for their 'inconvenience'. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer and the only reason they received one star, is because there is no option to provide zero stars.
