We have four kids, 18-6 year olds and this is one of the only places all kids like to go. People are great and games are so much fun. The beer helps too.

Incredible hidden gem—you can really tell the owner takes a lot of pride in ownership. All the machines were in great condition—would definitely come back since their unlimited play for just $10 admission seems super reasonable.

This is a great place to spend the afternoon with or without kids. It has all of the best classic arcade games! Teenage mutant ninja turtles - skee ball- air hockey - Terminator and many many more. Price is more than reasonable (pinball is separate but still affordable)

We stumbled across this amazing hole in the wall arcade randomly one evening when looking up things to do in our area. I had never heard of it before and it has been our new favorite spot. We immediately got the membership and have been going there on a pretty regular basis including for my birthday. The staff is awesome and they have a really good old school air hockey table that me and my son both enjoy very much. If you haven't checked it out you definitely should.

Great place to take the kids for a couple hours. Flat fee for the entire day was great as we played constantly in the time we were there. Will definitely go there again!

Absolutely love this arcade, which has to be one of the best additions to the Des Moines downtown corridor in many years. I visit here once a week to launch the silver ball and have an ice cold beer. Very family friendly and I consistently see parents running around having as much fun as their kids (perhaps even more fun!). The dedicated staff at Waterland Arcade make it the fun and friendly place it always is. Thanks to Theresa and Nathan for your efforts and always making me feel welcome. Thanks to the arcade manager Monty for his leadership and initiative to keep the arcade's games well stocked, arranged and maintained, and for offering cool/hip and well priced merchandise. Monty is tireless making continuous improvements/innovations to the arcade for patrons such as fun comedy and DJ nights and pinball tournaments. Hats off to the owner Jason Bliss for bringing this business/gem to our community. Thank you Jason!
