Thank you to the team at Stone Lion Wimbledon! My dog developed cataracts and managed to lose sight in both eyes for a week. However with the help of Sally Turner and the team they managed to save one eye and she's able to see the world again! The whole process was loving! When we dropped her off they called in the evening to let us know she was all tucked in bed and offer reassurance she was looked after even allowing if we needed to call through the night. In the morning they called again when she woke to let us know she was going into eye surgery. Once the surgery was complete we picked her up. It was months after this the constant pampering and looking after her ensuring the eye would heal well. The team was so supportive and helpful with any questions we had. Thanks to the team Rosie is seeing the world again. :) Thank you to all the team at Stone Lion for such great support! Would highly recommend them for all your flurry friends needs.

Worst ever! Today we tough that my little dog swallowed 2 of my medications. From our Vet as it was closed that was the emergency number to call. So we called them up and explained the situation.. it's not enough that it took over 10 min for the lady to understand, but in the end she said we are not qualified to take our pet there and we need to take her somewhere else as they can't accept her... I'm sorry but in case an emergency loosing that much time and telling me that you are not accepting my dog is just outrageous!!!

For years I have always felt comfortable in the knowledge that Stone Lion were there if my cats needed 24 hour hospital supervision or to take them in for emergency care. Indeed over the past 30 years my cats have been treated at Stone Lion and it was reassuring to know they were there. Imagine then my surprise and shock when my Vet was forced to send out a notice that regretfully Stone Lion has withdrawn all services for their clients. The reason would appear to be because they found out that my Vet will be extending their own operation to 24 hours from December, the idea being that emergency care will be available more locally for people who would struggle to get to Wimbledon (of which there are many who have real difficulty travelling) and pets who are already in hospital with them will not have to go through the trauma of being transferred. The purpose is entirely to provide something that is more ideal for the pets and their clients; there is no malice whatsoever in what my Vet has done and you would assume that another caring vet would understand that, be supportive of it and be happy to continue with the existing service (which brings Stone Lion revenue) until the transfer takes place. My Vet has confirmed Stone Lion has "withdrawn" services. Honestly couldn't be more devastated at the attitude of what I previously considered to be a well respective Vet. My own Vet was clearly take by surprise by this and has had to make a rushed attempt to make alternative arrangements to ensure the safety of the pets in their care for the next few months, which is not something they anticipated - why would they? Unfortunately this means for anyone using my Vet will have to travel miles if their Pet needs 24 hour care or emergency out of hours care. I cannot respect any Vet who does not put the needs of animals first and I certainly cannot respect any Vet who does not put the needs of the animal before their own ego. I always thought Vets became vets because they loved animals and wanted to make them their priority. I can honestly say my own Vet genuinely does put animals first. This would appear to be a wholly unnecessary decision by Stone Lion to withdraw services early and smacks very much of them putting ego before animal. I have no stake in anything other than the welfare of my own pets, but I couldn’t be more disappointed in Stone Lions unnecessary decision and I consider this has sufficient impact on sufficient people and animals to justify placing this review. Thanks to Stone Lion I will now have to worry about how I will get my cats emergency help if they need it
