We recently had our master bathroom remodeled by Regency Remodeling and my wife and I were very happy with the process. Bruce showed up on time and did not try to sell us on anything we did not want. Bruce gave us great ideas and did his best to work within our budget. Bruce gave us the option to use his discount with vendors he already had a relationship with. Before the project started, Bruce introduced my wife and I to the Project Manager who was our point of contact during the renovation. Bruce reiterated that he was always available if we had questions or concerns.
Once the project started, there was someone at our home every day Monday - Friday and some Saturdays to keep the project on schedule. The sub-contractor assigned to our project was very respectful of our home and even provided us with suggestions for where to put the accent tile and what kind of pattern to use. Any issues that came up were quickly addressed. Overall, I would recommend Regency Remodeling to anyone looking to remodel a room in their home.

We had a great experience working with Regency. They demolished the existing kitchen, installed a new floor base, ran electrical, moved plumbing and gas, painted, installed lighting, installed appliances, and laid backsplash tile. One thing I really appreciated was that the crew would ask questions when there was an option on how to do something. If they found something needing fixing, they took care of it. If we found something, they took care of it right away as well. We would definitely use them again for future projects. Our kitchen is updated and gorgeous thanks to Bruce and team!

Sam was very professional, responsive and reliable. He and the team worked with us to make sure we were happy with the way things looked. We were very impressed with one of the foremans, Bogden, whose strive for excellence in the finished work was remarkable. The only reason we don't give 5 stars (Bogden and Sam deserve it) is because we had some issues with the attitude and work of the first foreman, the project took longer than originally estimated, and there was some damage in the living room floor (Sam Paid for the repair, so they are very reliable)
They deliver, they are reliable, and even if things are not smooth for whatever reason, Sam will be there for the customer.

It is a different approach to a remodeling job. You are in charge of the design and materials cost, but they are very flexible during the actual construction to allow you to make modifications to the design as it goes along. Their vendors for the materials are very accommodating and offer excellent budget based advice.

“It is not ending well. It started out fantastic. We're planning to do what we call 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' review over Regency. Our inspection didn't pass, and there's about six items on the inspection list from the village of Buffalo Grove that they had to cover. Regency's subcontractor, Ideas Home Venture, came in and fixed two of them three weeks ago, and we're still waiting on them to come back here. So I've been on the phone with the president of the company. It looks like he's going to have—if he doesn't have that same subcontractor come out, he's going to have somebody completely different that hasn't even come into the house here come and finish the project. It has been a nightmare end here. The work initially was solid. But the guy who runs the subcontracting, Paul, I want to kill him. Initially I would recommend them. I would recommend them with the caveat that they do not get the crew we got. The head of the crew needs to go. The workers were fantastic. Those guys

“There were a number of problems. They all got rectified, but—the time took twice as long as they said it was going to take. They eventually got rid of the workers, but the workers were pretty messy. They would use things from my house such as buckets and things that they should have brought with them and supplied themselves. That was a lot of it. There were a number of things that compounded each other as it got going. They were remodeling a bathroom. I guess because they worked to get it all done—at the time that it was done I was just getting frustrated because I only have one bathroom in the house, so that obviously disrupted a lot of things. They did offer compensation. They gave me some off the bill. At this point, I wouldn't recommend them, because I had the negative—they rectified it, but after my experience, I wouldn't have recommended them. I guess I would give them a B.”

“I ordered a vanity. So we went to the store and they had the vanity we ordered. The certification of the vanity was emailed to the contractor. The contractor started taking down the wall and rebuilding the pipes for the vanity and then when the vanity was finally received it was the wrong vanity. It was not right-handed but left-handed, so they had to remove that wall again and rebuild new piping for the new installation of that vanity. It was OK with me by that point. I said that's fine. I'm not going to make a big deal if it's left or right hand. So anyway they put it in. When they put it in the drainage was up here. They hadn't put the top portion in it, but it looked like there was a drawer underneath the cabinet and I was concerned that the drainage pipe was going to hit the drawer. The contractor said he was going to have cut the vanity. I'd just paid $2000 for the vanity and I didn't want to have that vanity cut in any way so went back and forth and he was going to cut it, I sa

“We're still working on it but we're almost done. They did a good job from picking out to craftmanship and stuff. They're a nice group of guys that came over and worked. They had a good group. Overall, everything was good. We have a 100-year old bungalow. They started a bathroom remodel but it pretty much turned into—we took all the plumbing out of the house, took galvanized pipe out and put copper pipe in. Literally tore the bathroom—subfloor, ceiling, took it all out. Their customer service was good. The only thing is we're still working on the timeline. Now they did come back and fix it right away so I'll give them credit for that but the fact that it happened. As I told the owner, the fact that it happened in the first place left a sour taste in my mouth. I picked them over another company because they were prompt in responding to the requests and I liked the idea that they had a set of suppliers that they dealt with and said explicitly said they would act as a general contractor picking up all the materials making sure everything was scheduled correctly.
