We live in Dunnellon which is more than 50 miles from Coastal Jaw Surgery, Spring Hill, Fl, Dr Anderson’s office. We were referred to his office after a botched tooth extraction was done on my wife by our former dental care office in our area. The procedure was originally scheduled for 1 hour at 9:00 in the morning at our dentist. By 1:30 in the afternoon our dentist was still unsuccessfully unable to remove the problem tooth, breaking it off and leaving fragments in the upper jaw. He also perforated the nasal canal resulting in excessive bleeding from my wife’s nose. Our dentist then contacted Dr. Anderson for emergency oral surgery assistance after realizing he was in over his head and unable to fix the mess he made of my wife’s mouth.
By the time we arrived at Dr. Anderson’s office my wife was in pain, still bleeding from the wound in her mouth and nasal canal, and desperate for help. Our dentist informed us that they had contacted Dr Anderson and informed him of our situation, and so Dr Anderson’s office was already prepared to receive us and was expecting us.
Dr Anderson was booked solid that day but when we arrived the entire staff warmly welcomed us, told us they had received all the information from our dentist, and immediately escorted us back into an examination room where the staff professionally and expertly and with precision accuracy began processing my wife.
These folks are highly professional, extremely efficient, excellent multi-taskers, and tightly coordinated amongst themselves. Everyone knows exactly what their job is, what is expected of them and focused on only one issue - the issue of taking care of you the patient no matter the complexity of the issue and regardless of their schedule with other patients. Somehow they find the most efficient way to take care of everyone and without cutting corners, rushing, or compromising your health and well being.
It was well after 5:00 pm when Dr Anderson was able to give his undivided attention to my wife Anya (Anna). As his closing office hours were 5:00 pm we were concerned about not being able to get my wife’s problem resolved. He calmly explained to me that he would take care of us regardless of the time and regardless of how long it would take him. I have rarely met professional medical people with Dr Anderson’s level of ethics and integrity. He is an extremely caring and compassionate human being and highly skilled in his profession. It explains why everyone on his team is a caring and compassionate professional. They care about YOU AS A PERSON and not you as just another patient.
He and his assistant worked for three hours minimum correcting the mess made of my wife’s mouth by our former dentist. When the procedure was over he said something to me I will never forget. He said “There are many who do oral surgery, but there is only One Oral Surgeon” . If you have ears to hear you will understand this very wise and profound statement.
The Universe places us where we are needed to be and it is not by accident my wife wound up under the careful and compassionate care of Dr Anderson. He is far, far more than an oral surgeon. And those who are part of his team they all together make up a cohesive integrated system of harmony, order and supreme care for others.
We are grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to cross his and their path. It is in cases such as these that life long loving friendships and relationships are born.
