My fiance & I moved in together and quickly realized that having 4 dogs (and a cat) was going to be more of a challenge than we anticipated. Two of our females are alpha, and we had at least two incidents that resulted in emergency vet visits over 1K. We were living in a world of separation and multiple baby gates throughout the house. It was VERY stressful.
We first met with Brad, who came to us & explained how the whole process would go. Because our situation involved severe aggression, he told us how eCollars would be used. Though apprehensive at first, I could tell by his confidence that their trainers would be able to help. We booked them immediately and began training a few days later.
Claudia was our trainer, one of their most experienced trainers at that. She went over what our issues were, what we were looking to change, and obviously dealt with aggression first. I get that some people are intimated by the use of eCollars, but in our situation, it was by far the best thing we could have done. She walked us through setting up safe situations that allowed us to correct the bad behaviors, and correct them before it turned into a situation we couldn't handle.
I'm happy to say that after about 2 months of training twice weekly, our 4 dogs graduated and are all living a happier and more calm life. They are more obedient, and so much better on leash. We know our 2 alpha females may never be trusted alone, but we can at least have them in the same room without any episodes erupting.
Training with Sam Ivy was worth every penny. It is a lot of work on our part, but thats the right thing to do when you own pets. Thank you to Claudia for your patience with us and our crew. You were fantastic!
