My heart could literally EXPLODE!
When our sweet, loving, overly affectionate rescue, Bailey attacked another dog for a SECOND TIME, (this time only 20 feet from our apartment door), I ended up right square in the middle of a dog fight (I have battle wounds to prove it!). Not only was I completely mortified but I began living my life in fear. Fear of walking outside with Bailey, fear of other dogs, fear that the dog ward would be knocking on our door at any minute and even fear that my sweet girl was capable of such violence. I would end up in a full on panic attack when my boyfriend was outside for five minutes taking her to the bathroom! After having so much built up anxiety in our home we knew we needed help.
When we had our first session with our trainer, Ryann I begged her not to change my babies sweet, loving personality... I kept telling her "I don't need an overly obedient dog I JUST need her to not attack other dogs!" . She looked us in the eyes and told us to trust her ... and from then on she guided us every step of the way. I will never forget our first trip outside. My entire body was shaking and tears were running down my face. At one point I closed my eyes and when I opened them Bailey was walking 4 feet away from another dog (in the opposite direction!). By the end of that first trip outside Bailey wasn't even LOOKING at other dogs. For the first time EVER I began to start trusting Bailey and the tools and techniques we had been practicing.
Ryann and Sam Ivy Consulting have completely CHANGED OUR LIVES. We enjoy not only walks, but other outside adventures, too. We are no longer scared to take Bailey places and instead we enjoy the beautiful Florida outdoors with her. When she walks with us her neck doesn't leave the side of our knee and when she sees a dog she looks the other way and keeps going (tail still wagging!). Not only is her leash presence flawless but she no longer lives with such anxiety (she had grounded all of her bottom teeth down to her gums and she would cry for no reason at all). She no longer has to stress about being alpha and protecting us, she has put her trust in US. We are now her alpha. Our girl is always wagging her tail (especially outside!), we have never seen her so happy. Our heart and our home could not be filled with more love, happy tail wiggles or sloppy kisses!
Thank you, Ryann and Sam Ivy Consulting. You were our miracle we had been praying for. Bailey and us are forever grateful for you ❤️
