Picking a Safari company can be confusing, intimidating and is a big decision. Micato was the best from the minute we arrived until we left Africa. The attention to detail was impressive and made my wife and I feel very special. The quality of the guides, the quality of the accommodations, the quality of the safari excursions exceeded our wildest dreams and expectations. The word "WOW" was repeated countless times.
The trip to see the mountain gorillas was the highlight of our tour and is a must do on your bucket list.

We had an amazing African Safari! Our incredible guide Steven Losaru and the entire Micato Safaris team exceeded our expectations with their meticulous attention to detail and surprises! We spotted the majestic big 5, including a distant Rhino, and many more incredible animals and birds! The lions, leopards, and cheetahs, always elusive, but our skilled guide Steven and driver helped us track them down! Having our guide Steven with us the entire safari made a huge difference! I'm eager to return - it's not farewell, but until we meet again!

Seeing the Bengal Tiger was a special moment. Safari in India is very different from Africa. When you are in India and Bhutan you have a kind of spiritual experience, like no other. Micato, blew it out of the park with their meticulous planning and attention to detail. This is our 2nd Micato tour and we have another one planned for next year. My only regret is that they don’t organize world tours. I would use them for all my travel destinations.

The Micato Safari experience is an absolute luxury experience from the moment you step off the plane in Africa until they return you to your airport gate at the end of your safari. Our booking experience with Carson was superb and she was so well informed she became our Go To for pre-trip questions! She handled every detail of our booking and even assisted with managing luggage we would be leaving during our safari. I can’t say enough good things about our Safari Director John Scorpio, he was so genuinely nice, knowledgeable, anticipating needs, and stewarding us along on this amazing journey. He was an expert on the animals and each of the areas we visited; he became our Papa Bear taking care of every need during our safari. Every lodge was top shelf for accommodations and the food and beverage at each was fabulous. The Micato "surprises" placed throughout the journey were so warm and welcoming and hold a special place in our home today. If you are considering a safari, you won't find a better experience than Micato.

I was mildly interested in going on an African safari, but it was on my wife’s bucket list. We had friends who went to Kenya with Micato and raved about the company and that’s why we went with them. We just got back from the Micato safari to Kenya and Tanzania and it is by far the most fantastic trip my wife and I have ever taken. The staff at Micato is well trained and obviously love what they do. The accommodations were top notch. Our guide, Samuel Brown, couldn’t have been better. Our main driver, Adam, was exceptional. We are now considering going to India with Micato because of this experience.

We had a fabulous time on the Micato Hearts of Kenya and Tanzania safari. The amazing wildlife viewing, interesting cultural experiences and tremendous customer service made it a truly important, unforgettable, and life-changing experience that was magical from start to finish.
The Micato staff were highly attentive to every detail, even planning a birthday celebration and a special memorial for a recently lost loved one. From the time we exited the airplane to the time we returned to our departing gate, we were graciously supported by caring people leaving us with absolutely nothing to worry about. The Micato team gave us total confidence that we would get to the right places and have an exciting time. A notable example is while travelers with other companies were having a box lunch sitting by their vehicles, we were whisked off to a private meadow with freshly grilled food served on beautifully set tables with linens by attentive staff.
While there are countless things we could mention, a critical element was having an exceptional, caring, and knowledgeable Safari Director who was with us the entire trip. We are certain that the remarkable folks at Micato Safaris are unparalleled.

My best friend and I went on a private safari to celebrate our 60th birthdays and we were not only taken care of the whole time, but really CARED for. We felt so much love from everyone from Micato, from beginning to end. And the lodges and the people associated with Micato were just as wonderful. Our Safari director, Rodgers—he was so amazing—I’m a birder and he knew all the birds. Had eagle eyes when it came to spotting all the animals and had a smile that lit up a room and our hearts! We have already booked our next safari and can’t wait to see Africa and everyone again!

The Micato Safari Team is simply exceptional. We recently completed a Tanzania Spectacular in conjunction with a Massai Mara Private Family Safari. We were fortunate to see all of the BIG 5 up-close along with some unique experiences.
A cheetah chase that ended in an antelope kill with a hyena stealing the kill, lion mating, hot air ballooning over the Masai, during the Great Migration and many more. The very knowledgeable Safari Directors Uru and Bless were with us 24/7 aways anticipating our needs. They genuinely love their jobs and the animals. They are very proud working for Micato.
The private visit to with the orphaned elephants at Sheldrick's Wildlife Trust was another highlight. Micato's partnership and commitment to AmericaShare and Huru is inspiring.
Lastly, appreciate Chelsea's responsiveness and for thoughtfully organizing our extensive itinerary.

We had an incredible, once in a lifetime, experience, both in our pre-trip “Cape Town Sojourn” and while we were on “Passage Through Botswana and Zimbabwe” safaris. It was simply amazing! The Micato staff, our Micato Tour Director, Lucia, all our safari tour guides, were simply the best! From the first greeting at the airport to the last goodbye at the airport, we were treated with the most caring, thoughtful, and knowledgeable staff throughout our two weeks experience. Cape Town was lovely and the safaris were out of this world. We never believed we would see so many amazing animals and learn so much about African culture and wildlife.
