Amazing Micato experience from even before the start to well after the finish!! Imagine a vacation where every detail is seen to with care, where you are free to enjoy the experience, and come home with wonderful memories to last a lifetime. We booked Micato based on recommendations from family, friends and of course T&L. Our expectations were set high before we left and these expectations were exceeded. Our guide and all the drivers were personally invested in assuring our experience was amazing. When I couldn't see one of the animals, both our driver and guide spent patient time until Voilà I saw the cheetah! It's that attention to detail that is apparent every day. Their reputation for excellence is well earned.

Incredible experience in every way. Far exceeded our lofty expectations. Wonderful people, exceptional planning and execution. Complexity of our safari was enormous. 16 people, 5 different camps, 10 bush flights, 2 game drives every day for three weeks! Micato pulled it off without a single hiccup. Have to give an enormous shout out to George our Safari Director. The guy delivered on every single promise made. Oh my! A wonderful man and exceptional bush guide! This Safari was the trip of a life time. Micato worked very hard to make seeing the great migration possible. Not only crossing the Mara by the thousands but parading by our campsite in a never ending line. Many thanks to our guide Johnson who saw to our every need and is a top notch spotter. All of the game drives were very productive. Local guides were very knowledgeable and always found interesting encounters. Close encounters with the big five, large prides of Lions, as well as all the other cast of characters. Our other goal of learning about the culture was taken care of by visiting and interacting with three tribes which was fascinating. We stayed in top luxury resorts where the food and service were excellent.The trip ended on a high with a visit to Rwanda which is a must see country and of course a trek to see the Gorillas. Thanks to Micato for setting us up with a trek suitable for two senior citizens resulting in a great encounter.

Thanks to Micato, this was a flawless adventure!
We were a group of 9 women ages ranging from 58-88 traveling to India for the two week Magic of India tour. We all were extremely impressed by the level of service from the entire Micato staff, the local support staff and hotel personnel. The attention to detail by Micato is amazing. From the welcome packets and packing advice, including a safari duffle bag to the gifts along the way we felt very well prepared. Any need we might have was met and careful thought was put into making the schedule, transportation, check in and dining as easy and as comfortable as possible. From whisking us through the airports to arranging decent comfort stops, Micato thought of everything!
The hotel accommodations were the among the finest I ever experienced, each one lovely, unique and authentic. My only regret is not having a bit more time to enjoy all of their facilities. The food in every location was outstanding as well, and I enjoyed the other dining experiences off the hotel properties too, particularly the cooking demonstration outside of Udaipur and the Dehli ethnic dinner. We never had to worry about what we were eating and no one on our trip got sick.
I was particularly impressed by the special local experiences planned for us that gave us more insight into the culture—for example, the rickshaw ride through Delhi, the visit to the Sikh temple where we could help with food service and the visit to the school and farmer’s home. I can’t imagine other tours of this region in India offer those opportunities!
We all really appreciated Micato's practice of having every expense covered up front so we didn't have to worry about tipping, airport fees, etc and having to convert the correct amount of rupees. There is definitely a value to that!
Finally, and most importantly, we were so thrilled to have Hem Singh as our guide——he MADE the trip! His extensive knowledge, good humor, patience and thoughtfulness was greatly admired by the entire group. He correctly anticipated each activity so we were prepared and everything went so smoothly. His kindness and generosity in covering some incidental expenses was also a bonus.
I have shared this positive experience with family and friends and so thought it appropriate to post it here as well

I've just returned from the "Soul of India" tour and I'm still trying to capture the experience in words. Here's what I came up with:
For me, there are now only two types of travel in the world: 1) Micato and 2) NOT Micato.
I had never heard of Micato before this trip. And now I'll be hard-pressed to use anyone else.
The Micato experience lies at the intersection of luxury and comfort. They understand the unconscious stresses of travel -- and simply remove them. Quietly but unquestionably. Everything is first-class and stress-free.
Micato employs what I call "anticipatory service" which is the ability to know what you want BEFORE you do. This not only relieves stress, it leaves room for you to be delighted. That's rare.
The entire Micato operation is seamless, from initial contact to my post-arrival home. In this day and age, where everything is so sloppy and slapdash, it's good to know there are people out there who still really care about doing a great job.
The tour itinerary was comprehensive, interesting and fun. If you've been saving for the "trip of a lifetime," this is it.
Our guide, Mr. Puneet Dan, was an absolute gem. His charm and bonhomie was so refreshing to this beaten down soul. He was absolutely pivotal to our experience so if he is your guide, you are in for an extra-special treat.
I've never written such a long review in my life but I believe when people do great work, they deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated.

My safari experience in South Africa was so much more than I ever hoped it would be, in no small measure due to Micato‘s superior services, accommodations, and amazing guides and drivers. I felt like the most important person in the world to every Micato staff member, every hotel and lodge staff member and every guide that I encountered during my 17 days in South Africa. Good humor, laughter, kindness and caring are the hallmarks of your people, truly enhancing our enjoyment at every turn.
I fell in love with Africa-from the cosmopolitan feel of Cape Town to the primal wildness of the bush, to the splendor of Victoria Falls-it was all a revelation. Most touching and enlightening was our visit to the school in a remote village. The children were eager and excited, paying rapt attention when we read them stories. It is gratifying to know that Micato supports these children and provides resources to better their education.
What surprised me the most was that I never thought I would want to return to Africa after making this long-awaited journey. But now I find myself wanting to know more and wanting to see more of this amazing continent. And if I do return, it will definitely be with Micato!

In September 2023 my wife and I safaried with her sister and our brother in law to Rwanda, Tanzania and Zanzibar. Micato arranged a private custom safari for the four of us that was beyond exceptional. The people and the animals of these regions speak for themselves and create an extraordinary tableau regardless. But Micato’s magic is how they put together the journey through these regions and, more importantly, the beautiful humans who act as your Micato guides and drivers along the way. Moses in Rwanda drove us across his country and shared some of his most intimate family history and experiences with us while tending to our every need. Steven in Tanzania travelled by car and plane back and forth across the country with us and became like a brother. He even let us use his very fancy camera for the entire time to capture zoom photos we couldn’t achieve with our iPhones. And after Zanzibar Micato rescued us from airline-aggedon when we had to charter a plane to our flight back home.

We just returned from our African Safari vacation with Micato Safaris. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we have ever been on thanks to the team at Micato. There are tourists and travelers. We were immersed in Africa by Micato so we felt like real African travelers. The guides, the drivers, the safari director, the airport meet and assist team, the hotels, the game lodges were all outstanding. All of these contributed to an enjoyable vacation. Micato provided us with a safe, comfortable and seamless African vacation experience from the time we were met at the Johannesburg Airport until we entered the airport in Nairobi. That is quite an achievement, considering the distances and complexities of travelling in Africa. The main reason for the success of our trip were the people at Micato. Every single person made sure our questions were answered, the itineraries were communicated and we were being looked after. They did it in the most genuine manner.
