India is a unique land of brilliant colors, a rich history and a very warm and welcoming people. It didn’t take long for the country to capture my heart and soul - the sights, the sounds, the smells, the food, the people.
My trip there, The Soul of India with Micato was truly a life changing event, from that first phone call with Marion Miller whose passion, enthusiasm and attention to detail is outstanding, to our Guide Hemender Singh whose knowledge, skill and genuine love of his country inspired us all, and the numerous supporting staff who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, all made this trip a 5 star experience. I hope to return again and again to enjoy all that India has to offer.

I have just retuned from 'The Soul of India' tour by Micato. It was excellent from start (rep. met me before immigration in the airport!) to finish (dropped me at the airport and helped through checkin).
India is a stunning culture shock and our effusive guide brought it all together for us. Take this trip and you will come back with insights and memories you will treasure.

Just returned from Micato's 'Soul of India' trip. Micato impressed me beyond expectations. Marion, the US contact, was so helpful and wonderful at every turn. The team in each city, to our guide Hemender and Tomby in Mumbai, were outstanding.

I travelled with Micato in May 2021 for a very delayed honeymoon (thanks COVID) and every single aspect of our trip was flawless. The level of service and attention to detail Micato provided throughout the planning process was second to none. Our dedicated safari directors became close friends of ours and we felt so lucky to have dedicated safari directors with us every step of the way. It’s like having a park ranger/historian/walking encyclopedia with you at all times… amazing. All of the inclusions make the entire experience oh so worth it, not to mention all of the personalized surprises I won’t spoil. Even the Micato employees on the ground in Africa who greet you at the airport and escort you through customs was such a welcomed touch. Navigating new countries and airports and varying customs/Covid guidelines can be daunting, but having Micato there every step of the way gave us one less major thing to think about. If you’re considering traveling with Micato, stop considering and book it, you won’t regret it. Thank you Micato for somehow exceeding my stratospheric expectations. We truly cannot wait to experience Micato’s Africa again… and again… and hopefully again. Thank you!

Trip of a lifetime... the best tour guides... the safari was exceptional, we saw every animal. Our camp sites were amazing. Luxury doesn't describe how fabulous the hotel/camps were. The care and guidance that we received made the trip extra special. Micato met us upon arrival at the gate, and stayed with us until we departed. Can't wait to go back to see more. Micato is the BEST. They made us feel very safe, like the way you would treat a family member. Loved it...

Our 18 day East African safari (Hemingway Wing) and mountain gorilla trek extension was the trip of a life time. The Micato “experience” made it all come to life. Our phenomenal guides & drivers, 5-star accommodations, fabulous food & drink and priceless camaraderie were to be expected. However, the feeling of “Africa”, an appreciation for a way of life, was something I don’t think would be experienced without the Micato touch. Yes, we saw the Big Five - and then some! But it was the sights, smells, sounds of Africa that will be with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Micato!

What can I say about Safari, Safari??? Magnificent, Resplendent, Glorious, Stunning! While we only saw the Big 4 this trip, we were mesmerized and humbled by all the things we did – 70.5 Lions including a SuperPack of (18), 2 Leopards, 4 Cheetahs, Dozens of Hyenas, 7 Crocodiles, a Monitor, a Civet, a Serval cat flushed out by a male elephant eating in the weeds at water’s edge, a pair of Lions mating, A Lion Flaming, a jackal, Mongoose, Baboons, Colobus including a brand new baby, Vervet, so so many birds, ELT’s, gaggles of warthogs, huge herds of elephants, bloats of hippos, giraffes numbering in the hundreds, Hyrax, thousands of Dazzles, Grant’s and Thomson gazelles, Wildebeest, Impala, Dik Dik, Topi, Waterbuck, Klipspringer, Hartebeest, Buffalo, 3 kills, 3 post kill carcasses, and on and on……
Why Micato? First Class Service from start to finish. Two guides for every vehicle while on safari. Years of experience. A prime example -- While the other safari trucks (“Japanese animals”) were ping ponging back and forth as two female lionesses were on the move, our driver guide, Manny made a series of 4 strategic location moves and kept us in the right places again and again with the lions walking or seated VERY nearby and in absolute prime locations for both the gazelle hunt and kill attempts and the nursing lioness headed back to her cubs with food in mouth!

I just returned from the trip of a lifetime! My cousin and I did a safari with Micato at the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. The only complaint I have, is we should have made our trip longer! I'm a frequent international traveler and have been all around the world and this is by far the best trip I have ever been on. The Micato team was great to work with from planning in the beginning all the way through arriving back home after the trip. Marion helped us plan and prepare for our trip answering all of our questions and assisting with everything. We had Grace with us in Arusha and she even helped retrieve items left at our hotel. Peter and Emanuel were our guide and driver and we had the best time with them. We definitely left Africa with new, life long friends. We are already planning our return trip (which we really started planning our second day because we knew we couldn't get enough) which can't come fast enough. I still can't stop smiling thinking about our trip and giggling about our jokes we shared with Peter and Emanuel. I haven't laughed so much in so long! There aren't enough words to describe how spectacular this trip was. Everything was planned so well and executed flawlessly. We saw so many rare sites and had prime viewing spots and it was all because of the expertise from Peter and Emanuel. We could definitely tell the difference in caliber of Micato versus other safari companies while we were watching the animals and there's a reason Micato is the best! Don't tell the animals, but the people were the best part of the trip! (But the animals are a very close second!) I'm back home now and find myself scanning for animals in the grasses and trees. And dreaming about our next trip back!

Micato is the best for a reason. I had extremely high expectations and I was not disappointed in any way. I have three children 16,15 and 13 and they said that this was not a vacation but an experience. The also said that it was life changing each for different reasons. I honestly believe that my children are more grateful, compassionate, confident, adventurous and closer after doing this safari. It is single handedly the best thing that we have ever done as a family and don't feel that it would have been near as special with another tour group. Thank you Thank you Micato!

Confirmed with Marion Miller in the Micato New York office. Every aspect of working with Marion to confirm my clients for their first trip to India was a 5 star experience. Marion was able to secure the dates my clients needed. Their small group journey was very small, only them! All the questions about the itinerary were promptly and thoroughly answered. Including assistance with the entrance requirements. Micato sent out multiple packages to the clients and myself with beautiful printed material and gifts. Unlike a few other luxury tour operators that expect the clients to print their own documents or refer to their lap top for their information. My clients emailed me numerous times throughout their journey to praise their driver Hari and Guide Puneet. They treated my clients like royalty. Also the hotels were perfect and the clients got great upgrades!!

Absolutely an epic trip! If you take one trip in your lifetime, this is the one and Micato is the company to go with for this adventure. Allyson is a super guide and she had to handle a medical situation with a member of our group and she was brilliant. The lodges, safari guides, and staff members were all top drawer! The game drives every day were just spectacular. After taking 3000 photos, yes 3000, we have a lot of work to do before we post. Don't bother looking at other Safari companies, just book Micato.

We just spent 2 incredible weeks with Micato in India! This company is stellar and well worth the price of admission. From pre-trip expertise, tailored itineraries, 5 star guides/ hotels/ food and multiple unexpected gifts/ add-ons-- this company truly sets itself apart from the pack. Our guide quickly was able to read our vibe and tailored our itinerary accordingly, offering my partner and I experiences that are not on a traditional tour. Our Micato 12 day grand Safari was the “trip of a lifetime”. As much as we saw many many animals, Micato made the difference from beginning to end.
The attention to detail was amazing. They met you the minute you got off the plane and walked you to your gate on the way out.
The accommodations were top notch. The leader, Peter, was over the amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful….everything you would want in a leader.
By taking this particular tour, there were many short flights within the tour which eliminated many hours on the very bumpy roads.
All in all, you won’t find a better Safari company. Perfection from start to finish.

When you have taken over 900 pictures and videos its pretty hard to chose which ones to post. There is NOTHING like a safari with Micato and especially travelling with Lewela. You want for nothing and your comfort is always most important. Every day we had new adventures and saw things we never expected. It was a trip we will never forget!
