I need more than 5 stars! You expect to experience amazing things in Africa, but traveling with Micato Safaris was a completely different level!
The people and the service, WOW! They are the most thoughtful travel company I have ever traveled with. Jane, Anna, George and the entire team, they treated us like family visiting, always thinking 2 steps ahead. We had the most amazing time in Kenya, overwhelmed by the wildlife and soaking up the culture. They have been voted #1 for Travel & Leisure for a reason - Micato Safaris is the BEST company to travel with! We are already planning our next trip, this time with our kids!

Every detail was clearly carefully thought out and for a trip with many logistics, it was appreciated tremendously. I'm still in awe of how well we were taken care of. What a wonderful experience. I can't say enough about how polished and professional the people with Micato are. Everything went so smoothly, and when it didn't, no fault of their own, they took care of everything and made sure to get us back on track quickly and efficiently. Our Micato Safari experience exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. The Safari itself was stellar but then add to that the food, the accommodations, the customer service that were all top notch. We were there 10 days and each day they delivered even more experiences. They truly get how to take the experience to the next level. Our guide Denis was so accommodating, organized, knowledgeable and personable. The entire staff made the experience better - including the ever changing crazy airline/flying requirements. Best trip of my life!!!

WOW..you cannot oversell the Micato Safari Experience. Our Micato sales rep Meg put together a Custom Safari that was beyond our expectations. 3 Camps in 10 days all providing a different experience which really made it feel more like 20 days in a good way!!. . Our Safari guide was amazing. He met us at the Airport when we landed and from there on we had zero stress. His attention to detail was flawless and his knowledge on the game drive was unsurpassed . The camps where spectacular and the service at each exquisite from the amazing food to the well appointed tents.. I highly recommend the Sunrise hot air balloon ride and for you weekend photographers pack a good telephoto lens. I shot with a 28 to 135mm which did the job since our drivers would get the jeep pretty close to the game!!! BUT I wish i had a 200mm or better. Next time ! Once again . it is an adventure that cannot be oversold.

Our safari in Kenya is a trip we will long remember and I believe the major reason is the concierge service provided by Micato. From our warm and wonderful personal guide who travelled with our group through 3 different camps, to the drivers who would make every effort to position us so we could get a good look at the wildlife, to the chefs who served such high quality cuisine that we asked for recipes which were provided, to the hand-holding with Covid testing and airport check-in....every step of the way Micato exceeded our expectations. I hope they expand to many more countries so we can book more trips with them.

Micato tailored a 10-day safari in Kenya for our group. Our trip involved stays in Nairobi, Amboseli National Park, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Maasai Mara Game Reserve, private in-country flights, luxurious accommodations, delicious meals, morning & evening wildlife drives and even a hot-air balloon excursion. Upon landing in Nairobi, we were greeted by our personal Safari Director who travelled with us and coordinated with local representatives, providing a truly seamless experience. Our wildlife drives were led by local guides with in-depth knowledge of the animals and where to find them. Our group was treated to stunning landscapes, access to all the wildlife we came to see and a level of luxury that we were not expecting. Throughout the process Micato’s representatives were unfailingly friendly and professional. We could not recommend Micato more highly.

Our Micato bespoke safari to East Africa was incredible. No stone was left unturned in organizing the perfect trip over the holidays. We traveled to two countries, which is difficult during covid, and Micato helped make the experience as seamless as it could be. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and accommodating. We had a tour guide with us the entire time. They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were not only met but were exceeded. Additionally, the covid testing required between countries and to get back to the US was perfectly organized and we didn't have to think twice about coordinating or trying to figure it out on our own. We in no way could have traveled to two countries in Africa during covid if it weren't for Micato. Thanks for an incredible experience.

Micato provided a safari that exceeded all our expectations. David our guide and Jackson our driver stopped often to allow us to experience the safari on our own schedule, catering particularly to our interest in birds and desire to photograph everything. The accommodations, especially the tree house and tent camp near a hippo pool in the Serengeti amazed. The meals were often elegant and delicious as well as the picnic lunches. There was a surprise gourmet lunch with a chef standing by preparing our meal under a tent. We will always have good memories of our time spent on a this safari and the team that contributed their time and talent.

As writers we are rarely at a loss for words, but our safari experience has left us speechless. From start to finish, we were amazed and overwhelmed by the natural beauty and sheer grandeur of the bush. Alan Peterson was a phenomenal asset — part guide, part organizer, part guru — and we couldn’t have made the trip without him. From the moment we met him, he made us feel safe, welcome, and brought a level of joy and professionalism to the trip. The planning was exemplary and Alan was able to pivot any time there was a complication. We didn’t have to worry when a flight was cancelled because Alan was handling it. It was ten days we will never forget and we can’t wait to do it again. Truly a life-changing experience.

I can't say enough about this amazing company. They think of every little detail and really know how to create experiences of a lifetime. I fell ill with covid on day 2 of my trip and they couldn't have done anything differently. From making sure I had the proper health care to creature comforts in my room during quarantine. I can't wait to get back to really enjoy the full safari experience and will absolutely send our clients with them for their own trips. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

From expert, knowledgeable, and down right fun safari guides… to drinks watching the sunset (aka sundowners) or breakfast on safari after a hot air balloon ride… to valet laundry service, and everything in between! Micato is the best! Marion will get you there and keep you prepared. Kennedy and Johnson will keep you in the right place, and everyone else makes the whole experience highly enjoyable. A well oiled machine to say the least. Can’t thank the Micato team enough!
