My wife and I just returned from our first safari in Kenya. We had a fabulous time due to the hard work of the Micato Staff to be sure that even detail was first class. The accommodations and food were top notch. Micato handled our needs from the time we touched down in Kenya to the time we left with a high level of professionalism and thoughtfulness. The nightly hot water bottles in our beds to the morning tea and coffee were really great. The guides made sure that each traveler saw the things they had come to see and more. The biggest surprise to us however was the philanthropic activities that the company provides to the communities in Kenya. I would highly recommend Micato for so many reasons to a friend or relative.

I have just returned home from an amazing Micato safari. I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined this amazing place. The staff handled everything seamlessly. The accommodations were beautiful. The people and the animals keep me coming back. To be honest normal life is a significant disappointment!! I have never had a more wonderful vacation!!!

Just returned from two unbelievably perfect weeks in Kenya! From the moment I decided I could go, through all the planning, to the moment of arrival, through Nairobi, Laikipia, Maasai Mara, to the final safe and efficient return to the U.S., Micato staff were in charge, knowledgeable, gracious, and made it all so easy. This included multiple Covid PCR tests for more than 20 people traveling together. The trip itself was involved and would've been a nightmare to plan for myself. Words cannot express how well this trip went and how much I enjoyed it. An experience of a lifetime! Thank you Micato!!

Just returned from Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar with Micato and am still dreaming of my safari. Every detail of the trip was attended to including all required paperwork for each country entry/exit, Covid testing, transfers, luggage handling and wonderful surprises. The Safari Directors are extremely forthcoming with everything they know about the country, history, their families, conservancy of animals and their habits in each of the parks and reserves visited. They are so much fun and keep you on your toes ISO the Big Five and others. The tent and lodge accommodations were all exceptional. I'll camp anywhere in Micato tents. The service provided by all individuals was very sweet and they could not do enough to make sure all our needs were met. Outstanding sundowners, game drives, meals and so much more. There is no competition for Micato Safaris.

I just returned from a mission trip to Kenya with Micato. I cannot say enough good things about the tour company. I was extremely nervous traveling during this COVID-19 pandemic, but Micato handled everything expertly: keeping us informed on all the travel requirements and scheduling our return testing, providing vaccinated drivers & guides, and following all of the CDC guidelines for safety. Safety truly is one of their top priorities.
Another of Micato’s priorities is the happiness of their clients. There were 26 of us on this trip, and each of us were catered to as if we were the most important person in the group. Without going into too much detail, “Safari Jane” and Mercy went above and beyond to satisfy a wish for my daughter - their kindness will forever be remembered.
The lodging chosen by Micato was amazing and all of the food was delicious. We joked that we were constantly eating. The Sundowners while on safari were held in interesting outdoor spaces, allowing us to truly appreciate the breathtaking sunsets. (With rhinos within a hundred yards one evening!)
I look forward to traveling with Micato again in the future and hope that our travel consultant, Marion, will agree to plan it for our group. She is THE BEST!

This is my 5th African trip with Micato Safaris and they just get better and better. Everything about the trip: safety, travel, preparation information, tipping etc are all handled for you. The guides/drivers on the safari are knowledgeable and friendly. (Jeremiah at the Mara was a favorite) This makes for a relaxing, exciting worry free event. Marion in the USA is excellent at coordinating and answering questions. Kennedy and Johnson in Kenya are top notch. You won't be disappointed this is a trip of a lifetime!

Just returned from a 14 day trip to Tanzania with Micato Safaris and it far exceeded my already high expectations. I loved having a safari director with us the whole time, and lucked out having Willy as he's the kindest and best one out there (no bias :)). The surprises we had each day were incredible and really elevated the overall experience. I really can't say enough about Micato, especially traveling in these uncertain times. To have someone there navigating us through visas and check-ins and all the other minutiae was not only a time-saver but a trip-saver as I was totally relaxed and never worried about anyting. I sell travel and recommend them all the time, and will do so even more after the bucket list trip I just experienced myself. Thank you Micato!

I've been on many trips as a tourist around the world, many of them with guides. But i have never had such royal treatment as my wife, two friends, and I had on this safari trip. We started in South Africa and then most of the time was in Tanzania. The accommodations and food and service were superior, including that there were many menu choices. To get that level of accommodations in the bush of Africa was amazing. The vehicles were first class, and the guides and drivers and spotters were great. They got us up close and personal (in a safe way) to so many animals in so many settings. For example, we watched a lion eat a Gazelle from ten feet away. We saw many giant herds and many cozy animal families. We even had lots of wild animals within viewing distance of nearly all of our accommodations, without even leaving the room! The guides listened to our preferences (which were to wear outselves out finding animals instead of chilling at the accommodations) and responded. Best of all, the guides really became friends and gave us a great education on their countries, their villages, and their culture. I recommend Micato to anyone that wants a great safari experience.

Just returned from an amazing two week journey to Tanzania with Micato Safaris. It ALL... exceeded any expectations I had from dreaming of going on a Safari since I was a young child. NO detail was left unturned, surprises around every corner. Our EXCEPTIONAL Safari Director "Willy" who was an absolute dream throughout our time together. His vast knowledge of the country, the people, and the animals was truly amazing. When one Safari's there is NO other way to do it... it changed me, Africa will live on with me forever. Our Hemingway Safari with Micato in October 2021 was an amazing experience. From the expertise of our wonderful guide, Nuru, to the care and attention of staff at every camp to the special touches at meals, on game drives and in our rooms, the entire experience was extraordinary. Nuru was an exceptional guide - not only guiding us to see animals and their babies but, birding together, we saw 173 species of birds! We have traveled to Africa several times before and this was our first with Micato. It was a trip to remember forever - to everyone, a huge thank you!

The magic of a Micato Safari is difficult to describe because it involves so many intangibles. Micato stands head and shoulders above other safari suppliers because they have dedicated employees (rather than independent contractors) on the ground in every country where they operate. I just returned from an unforgettable Micato experience in Kenya and believe the travel value and experience is tops!

Micato created the trip of a lifetime. They greatly exceeded our expectations in every way as we traveled through Cape Town, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Our guide Alan was with us throughout the trip and made every detail and transition between countries as simple as possible as each country has its own rules in these times of Covid. More importantly, he paid attention to all of our dietary needs as we transitioned from camp to camp. Alan and our local guides even provided additional interesting insights as we moved from the animals during the day to cocktails before dinner. While the animals are spectacular in their natural setting, the personal attention to every need truly separates Micato from other tour companies.

I never have heard of a safari company that puts a child thru school for every person that travels with them. My family will absolutely be booking a Micato safari, and 6 kids will be getting an education.. We would give them a TEN star for that..

Our Micato Safari was the most amazing vacation that my wife and I have every taken. From beginning to end it was simply incredible. Our Guide Kennedy always made sure that everyone always had every need met, all while making sure we saw the most incredible collection of animals and habitats possible. Everywhere we traveled everyone recognized that we were traveling with Micato, the treatment, accommodations and care and concern for every member of our party from start to finish was beyond explanation.

Guided by Denis Simi, we felt safe and excited from arrival to departure, despite Covid tension, which disappeared once we were in Africa with Micato. All of our pre-trip questions were answered re-assuringly by Becky Craft and Ariel Spodek. The Elephant Orphanage at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi was our favorite, among the many exotic experiences of the Stanley Wing.

After a long delay due to the pandemic, my Micato trip finally began. Close to 30 hours of travel left me exhausted. When I cleared immigration at Kilimanjaro Airport, our expert guide Rodgers smiling face was just what I needed. It was at that point I realized this was going to be an experience I would never forget. Accomodations for the entire Tanzamia Spectactular were outstanding. Our group was always met with a warm reception and top notch rooms and views. I sort of miss not being awakened by elephants, lion roars, hippo grunts and other night sounds of Africa. African wildlife was abundant. Rodgers made certain we saw what we expected and more. That was a trend. My expectations were very high. Micato and Rodgers exceeded those expectations at every level. Lunches and dinners served in the conservation areas only added to the unique experience. The hot air balloon ride was outstanding only to be exceeded by the champaign breakfast when we landed in the middle of the Serengeti. I thought this would be the trip of a lifetime. I now wonder if that is true. I know I would go again in a heartbeat if the situation became available. Micato is outstanding.
