I truly felt for the first time in my life that the CEO (Jane Pinto) actually cared about our experience in real time day in and day out! Micato's attention to every little detail is amazing from the very first moment you start your tour until you are dropped off at the airport to return to the US. The quality of the guides and ancillary personnel was first rate and of high quality. We loved the all inclusive nature of the tour and the extra effort every one made to make our vacation extraordinary. We can understand why, despite the innumerable other safari companies out there, that Micato is ranked # 1 year after year. Kudos to a great company!

My daughter and I went on the Hemingway Winged Safari this summer - absolutely incredible. The best way to describe it is to say that I'm looking at planning my next safari - of course, with Micato.
While on the trip, we became aware of the 'Micato Magic' - things magically happened, or seemed to at least. We were part of a group of 11, never met prior to the safari, but seemed to be magically placed together as we formed friendships that continue. Throughout our travel, every little issue (lost passports, last minute souvenirs, schedule changes, etc.) was resolved magically. Our safari director, Johnson, was absolutely THE BEST EVER!!! He had a magical way of finding the animals and provided so much background by way of stories and information that we left with not only great memories but also better educated in the culture, lifestyles, animals and so much more.
The accommodations were wonderful too. Ranging from a 'rustic' (electricity was turned off at midnight but we still had hot water, ceiling fans and blow driers) to cottages at The Manor where you felt like a member of the family. Every camp we went to had a special feel or uniqueness that prevents one from naming a favorite - they were all my favorite. I loved the private reserves that allowed game drives nearly in private - without seeing another vehicle for long periods.
I could continue but if you've read this far, you're already convinced.
Without a doubt - the best, most memorable vacation of my lifetime.

Micato makes everything they do look easy, but of course, a lot of hard work goes into all the planning to make what they do seem so effortless. I was given very helpful information prior to my trip that helped me prepare properly. They even send all their guests a duffel bag. They simply know how to book luxury safaris and make you feel special in the process. I highly recommend them.

My entire family went on a safari with Micato. It was a trip that exceeded high our expectations. Everything was perfect. The food; the accommodations; the guides the entire experience. The guides shared their extensive knowledge of the wild life, landscape and native tribes with our children who ranged in age from 9 to 17. They say this was the best vacation ever. Our guide surprised us at the airport as we departed. My youngest daughter excitedly hugged him and cried when we had to separate them to board the plane..
My wife and I also engaged Micato to tour Northern India. Again our experience exceeded our now higher expectations. We had one guide for the entire three week trip. He became family. Once again the accommodations and meals were first rate. We encourage everyone we know to use Micato. Cannot recommend them highly enough. The entire organization is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. No request is too much to ask.

Anyone who travels frequently understands the amazing amount of effort it takes to make an experience seem effortless. Micato has taken this theory to the next level by curating two of the most amazing weeks we’ve ever experienced in one of the most spectacular places on earth. Every detail is impeccably planned and thought out. The flow of the trip, the venues and the lovely locals all created a magical journey that carried us along without worry. The behind-the-scenes coordination had to be huge, but we happily drifted from one amazing experience, meal or new friendship to the other. There is so much to discover on this beautiful continent and it’s wonderful to be able to enjoy those discoveries without having to figure out the details.
There are times when the planning, execution and mastery of the location is one of the delights of the journey. But when the location is filled with more than enough wonders to satisfy even the most adventurous traveler, having the details left to someone else allows you to fully enjoy the trip. I had my first safari trip last month with Micato Safaris and it was a life changing trip! This company is beyond 5 stars with it's personalized details for everything!!! We didn't have to worry about a thing, just enjoy every minute and have the best time ever! Each employe was beyond helpful and accommodating and made this trip truly sepial in every way. As a travel advisor, I can tell you that Micato is tops. I have traveled with friends on Micato trips to India and Kenya and Tanzania, and there is no better company. One of the key points of difference is that this is a family business, and Micato owns all aspects of the operations. I believe that no situation could arise that they couldn't handle. My clients took the Grand Safari in September, and in their words, it was "the most phenomenal trip we have ever taken. It was perfect."

Micato is a totally family owned company, and they epitomize the philosophy "we treat our clients the way we treat our family". I have taken three trips to Africa with Micato, will be going again in 2020, and will continue to go each year until I am no longer able to do it. Each trip is a magnificently awesome experience that I never want to end, and all year I think about my return trip with great excitement and anticipation, as each day is such a fabulous new adventure. Our experience with Micato was incredible in every way. They created a completely stress-free trip - they truly think of everything! Everyone at Micato was wonderful, from planning the trip to our guide, as well as the drivers and staff at the lodges where we stayed. They do a great job showcasing a variety of locations in East Africa, each place we stayed was unique in its own special way. For us, one of the highlights was our guide Johnson who was knowledgeable, fun and easygoing, and really made the trip extra special. We could not recommend Micato more, and are hoping to go on another trip with them soon!

Our May 2018 Bespoke Tanzania and Rwanda Safari was simply amazing. Every day was as good or better than the previous one. We were wowed from beginning to end by the closeness to the animals, the number and variety of animals, and the information on the culture of the local people, the animals and their habitat.
Micato's organization and attention to detail leaves no stone unturned and allowed our family to have an amazing and unique experience - stress free.
Rodgers, our Safari Director, was the perfect match for our family. We clicked from the very first minute. Loved his attention to detail, his concern, his sense of humour, his laugh. We were sad to say good bye when we left for Rwanda. Our Driver-guide, Andrew, was very knowledgeable and has an unbelievable spotting ability. We had a blast.
The camps are breathtaking, the food was great and the staff is exceptional! We sang and even danced with the staff on one of the several specials celebrations evenings (cake was so good). We could not have had a better time.
Meg's (Micato) recommendation of itinerary and lodging for our family was second to none. It met all our needs and wants and more. Meg is delightful and easy to work with. Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful.

My husband and I have traveled to Africa on two Safaris, Botswana, Zambia and Kenya, Tanzania with Micato. And a friend and I have traveled to South Africa. Every detail of the Safaris are well thought through and executed with the highest amount of professionalism. The guides are personable, on purpose and extremely knowledgeable. The accommodations are fit for royalty. Oh, and I dare not tell you all the little extras so you too will be as surprised as we were!
Based on my past experiences, I trust Micato to take good care of me. I will be leaving this week for a tour of India with Micato. So far their stateside staff has been most helpful in answering my questions and helping me to plan for this next exotic adventure.
