I have been on 4 Micato tours to northern India in the last 8 years (and am signed up for a fifth in 2020). The tours have been wonderful-- safe and very well led. No disappointments from anyone in our groups which ranged from 8 to 21 members, and ages 19 to 92. Our guides were expert in ensuring our comfort, were adaptable to our personalities and last minute needs, found out great shopping for us, and showed infinite knowledge of India and it's people from the street up.

In the past 12 years I have traveled 3 times to India and will be returning again in January 2020. Probably the main reason I have fallen so in love with the subcontinent so far from home is because I have travelled with Micato Safaris! Not only have I been exposed to and learned about so many wonderful sites and people but also have travelled in the luxury and hospitality provided by Micato. From the Golden Temple in Amritsar in the northwest; to cruising on a houseboat in the backwaters of Kerala in the southeast; to riding elephants to the Red Fort in Rajasthan every detail of travel is provided Furthermore, who can resist listening to Mr. Singh recounting the tale of the Ramayana. I love returning to my room after a day of temple exploration and experiences to find my "gift of the day", always an appropriate memory of the day and place. If you go to India, go with Micato!

In January-February 2019, we took a 12-day tour of India with Micato Safaris. Marion Miller served as our US-based rep, Puneet was our full-time guide in India.
Others have written about what a great tour Micato creates. But I’d like to address n the high performance of Micato's staff.
Marion set the stage by guiding me through a difficult Visa-obtaining process, responding promptly to my many questions about clothes, and was kind enough to arrange two private golf outings. She even tracked down a couple of pianos for me to play, though I opted not to pursue those.
Puneet amazed us every step of the way. As he explained it, “Micato means ‘warm toast and soft butter.’” His tours, site selections, insights and personal observation were great, as we expected. But he went above and beyond the call of duty so many times: stopping at a hospital to buy a splint for my finger; orchestrating those two golf outings; coaxing us to make evening and sunrise visits to the Ganges, recruiting a local musician to join us on the boat and leading us in personal meditations, as we lit and floated candles on behalf of departed family members.
Besides the planned activities, he was willing to call “audibles” and change plans to suit our individual tastes — even if it occasionally meant splitting up the groups. And he kept his sense of humor, putting up with our idiosyncrasies, while sharing plenty of his own colorful stories. Finally, he was very current on what’s happening in India, politically and socially. As most in our group are news junkies, we thoroughly enjoyed talking to him about what’s happening in his country.
Several of us on this trip are in the client-service business, and pride ourselves on delivering 5-star service. Please know that Puneet and Marion delivered that for Micato. Clearly, they are five-star representatives.

As a travel agent, I saw first hand, what traveling with Micato means for their clients and what they can and will do for them.
I was on a Micato tour of India when a client in my group was notified that her Father was dying.
Micato immediately took over all the details of flying her from Jaiphur to New Delhi, meeting her at the airport, arranging new tickets for her to fly home and personally staying with her until she was on the plane going home. No detail was overlooked.
Micato can and will move mountains, part seas & perform miracles for their clients.
No wonder they are always voted # 1.

The service, attention to detail, food, lodging, transport--all are impeccable, as is the pre- planning and support throughout. We'd go anywhere Micato goes. Simply said, they're the best. I highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We can’t express how thoroughly we enjoyed our Micato tour of India. It was perfect in every way. The schedule was well done. The tour guide was remarkably professional and personable. We learned so much about the history and geography of each area we visited. Our accommodations were way above our expectations, so delightful. We were treated as honored guests and were made to feel very comfortable from the beginning to end. It was a trip of a lifetime until the next which we hope will be soon!

My daughter and I did a Micato trip to India and everything about it was fabulous! Our trip planner, Marion was extremely helpful and personable, our guide in India was excellent, professional, friendly and flexible. The timing, and sights we saw were perfect and the places we stayed were spectacular. I can't recommend Micato highly enough. We will always use them for trips whenever we can. I wish they did trips in more countries!!

My husband and I booked our safari trip through Micato because we read all the awesome reviews and talked to many people who gave them the highest praise. We took our 4 grown children and spouses and planned what we hoped would be the trip of a lifetime. So we went into this trip with very high expectations and Micato managed to exceed them! Meg in the New York office handled the planning and was enthusiastic and patient as we worked out the various schedules of our group and changes to what we wanted to see and experience. We were met at the airport by a Micato team including Philip, our guide who traveled with us to 3 destinations within Kenya and kept us informed and comfortable every step of the way. During our overnight stay in Nairobi, we were met with smiling faces. We were honored to meet the Pintos on the morning of our departure to our first camp and enjoyed visiting with them about our journey and their history building Micato. What a delightful and genuine family! No wonder they have built a business that continues to win awards for customer satisfaction. They truly enjoy sending their customers out on safari to see the beauty of Africa (and now India). We had used a different outfitter for a safari trip 5 years ago and had a wonderful trip but Micato made it so much better. We felt safe and informed and had so much fun everywhere we went. For this trip, we stayed in Kenya and saw so much wildlife, learned so much about the challenges of conservation and protections of endangered wildlife, visited with many locals and experienced what our whole group agreed was the best trip of our lives. We can hardly wait to plan another Micato adventure.

Greatest Vacation in Family History! This is our second trip with Micato, and we could not have had a grander time. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary with our children and the Micato team blew them away! We had the most incredible service, with Micato ushering every segment of the trip flawlessly, and the hotel selections were especially wonderful. The Saxon, Royal Livingstone, Singita Boulders and Singita Lebombo in Kruger National Park were unbelievable. I think the Boulders was the most fabulous place we ever stayed. The staff in every location became our friends and family, the rangers and trackers were amazing at finding animals. In both Singita resorts, we saw the Big Five each and every day! Unreal. And saw cheetah and wild dogs with pups outside their dens. We are already thinking of a third return trip to enjoy the fabulous Micato hospitality. You simply cannot go wrong with Micato. Fabulous performance. Bravo!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience last August traveling with Micato to Kenya and Tanzania on the Hemingway Safari. It was our first trip to Africa and Micato made it a fabulous experience. Great accommodations, delicious food, knowledgeable and personable tour directors combined to make the trip all that we could have hoped for. We think so highly of Micato that we are going to India with them in Oct 2019. India was not a destination we had ever considered and we would not be going there if we didn't think so highly of Micato. Folks, you can't go wrong with Micato.

We traveled with Micato to India. After our wonderful South African experience with Micato, we knew we would be in good hands in India.The advance materials were excellent. Of course, we also had the wonderful Marion to answer any questions we had! We were definitely prepared for our trip. Our guide Hemender was amazing! He is so knowledgeable and can work miracles! We were also lucky to have Raju as our driver and Subhash as our guide in Ranthambore. They ensured we saw tigers on every drive! Neeta was great in Mumbai, and really gave us a feel for her wonderful city.It was a trip of a lifetime! Micato does so many “extras” to make the trip special. It was amazing having people greet us at the gate in Delhi and see us off in Mumbai! When people ask what our favorite thing was, there is no way to answer with just one thing. It was spiritual, it was fun, it was educational, and we definitely got plenty of exercise! Thank you, Micato!
