My safari with Micato was a trip of a lifetime. Every detail was taken care of so that I could experience the thrills, excitement, peace and love of the safari fully, without having to worry about anything other than getting a great photography shot. Every place we stayed was 5 star luxury. The food was always amazing, and they fully catered to my vegetarian lifestyle. I fully and highly recommend Micato Safaris.

You won't know exactly when, but you will fall in love with Micato's India. For me, was it the Maharaja Palaces that become my home? Or, was it the village that came out to greet us when our hot air balloon landed in a farmer's field? Possibly it was during our visit to the elephant orphanage when the mahot brought over an elephant who placed its trunk on my shoulder. Or maybe it was the dawn boat ride on the sacred Ganges when the sitar and flute duet who joined us created an eerie but magical feeling. No matter which, Micato's beautifully woven itinerary leaves ample opportunity for you to have your own personal love affair with India.

I am fortunate to have clients badly bitten by the travel bug. When they said they were considering a tour of India, Micato immediately came to mind! My clients are sophisticated travelers, who expect travel to be a bouquet for the senses with delicious food, luxurious hotels and unique experiences. Their three week bespoke tour of India was all that and more! Everything was handled by Marion Miller, India travel expert, with incredible attention to detail, constant treats and surprises. When the fabulous hotel they had requested was fully booked by a private wedding party, Marion was able to revise their itinerary so that, with no elimination or duplication, they were able to stay at that hotel on another date. Each day was interesting and captivating. They were thrilled that the same capable and entertaining guide accompanied them all over India, flying from city to city. They returned home with a host of exciting experiences and marvelous memories. Thank you Marion and Micato!

India was our second trip with Micato (we had done Kenya and Tanzania) and it was exceptional as before. India has so much to offer and Micato revealed them beautifully. Our guide Puneet was so knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. He gauged our interests and adjusted as needed. We loved the exceptional hotels and the main tourist sites, but we also wanted to see the markets, ride in a bicycle rickshaw, and experience the wonderful people of India in the temples and squares. We did it all and left wanting more. The surprise Micato touches (no spoiler alerts here) made the trip so special. We will be back to India for sure!

In March 2019 I traveled with Micato on their Soul of India trip. As an avid traveler who has been lucky enough to go to India twice before, I must say that this March trip was brilliant. Our guide Puneet took us seamlessly from place to place, and that gave us the freedom to take in all the uniqueness that is India. Absolutely wonderful in every respect--hotels, sites, our small group, markets, food, learning more every day about the complexity of the cultures, and FUN! The contrasts are mind-boggling. A few: To go from the Sikh temple in New Delhi to the Taj in Agra, to the animal drives in Ranthambore, to the seemingly endless palaces of Jaipur, and then to the mesmerizing uniqueness of Varanasi--I am so grateful for this adventure. Puneet and Micato's Soul of India trip enriched my soul.

I have taken many wonderful trips in my life, but my Micato safari surpassed then all. It was the trip of a lifetime. The owners’ love for and commitment to Africa —and their guests —showed in their attention to detail from welcoming gifts, unexpected dinners in the bush, visits with tribes and their wonderful drivers and guides. I always felt safe, appreciated and welcomed into their world. I encourage my friends and family to on safari as soon as possible —but only with Micato!

I will be going on my 3rd Micato trip in 4 years. From the very beginning I have so appreciated the thoughtful and special touches that Micato puts in to their trips. Incredible variety of sites and experiences, with beautiful hotels, amazing guides with such vast background , care and humor to guide us on these adventures. Traveled to Kenya and Tanzania with Micato Safaris in May 2019. Cannot say enough about the itinerary, the lodgings, and the staff. Our Safari Director- Wilbard - was fantastic as were drivers Manny and Arnold and the Nairobi support staff - Judy and Mercy - along with the NYC staff -Tara. We felt like family by the end of the trip. Hoping to return to Africa in the future and will look no further than Micato.

Wonderful safari—couldn’t be better. The accommodations were fabulous and the entire trip was very well organized. An important aspect of any safari is the driver and vehicle. Micato vehicles and drivers are the best!! They even had Wy-Fi. All and all the Micato safari was amazing!!

I have been on other tours with travel companies, but never one as excellent as Micato. The tour far surpassed all our expectations. We were treated like royalty and taken care of 24/7. The staff and tour guides were superb, the accommodations were spectacular, and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour company. I’ve never had a better trip in my life. I yearn to go back and do another Micato tour. We certainly have plans to do so In the future. Thank you Micato for giving us this trip of our dreams!

My clients have traveled with Micato 5 times. They sometimes know exactly where they want to go, but not where to stay. I have worked with Meg Bufkin the last 3 trips and she is always so accommodating, and knowledgeable of the destinations...she will give suggestions and rearrange their itinerary to fit the clients needs. AND she always gets back to me immediately. Makes me look great and the clients are happy.

My clients returned from a private Micato Safari in late May and everything, right down to the perfect guides selected by our Micato contact, Krista was perfect.
My clients are well travelled and expect the best and they came back without one complaint, which is unusual in most cases. The accommodations were the best, the personalized treatment they received couldn't have been better. A private safari is an expensive trip but if you want the best there is no better company than Micato. Thank you for making my clients so happy that they are returning again next year in September. 2020

Our family of 6 traveled with Micato to Kenya to celebrate my father's birthday for 10 days. Every day was filled with wonderful surprises and thoughtful touches by the Micato team. While the safaris and camps were truly five star, the experience of bonding with our guide and Micato team members were what made this trip exceptional. We departed Kenya in tears because we were so sad to leave and we still keep in touch with our guide Peter today. This was my second safari with Micato and they now feel like family. In November, Meg Buffkin planned a wonderful, customized safari for myself and four friends. It was amazing! Everything was planned down to the tiniest detail and Micato staff in Africa went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and aware of what we would be doing that day. We saw everything! Ate amazing food! Saw jaw dropping sunsets! Stayed in the most amazing lodges! Learned about animals and the African culture. I would highly recommend Micato Safaris!
