Came for the pastel de nata. Very good and extremely rich. One is MORE than enough for me. Maybe two if I’m feeling frisky:) Vibe is friendly ,chill, laid back. Cant wait to visit when the weather gets warmer.

extraordinary Pastel de Nata (it's like, a egg custard cinnamon pie thing it's so good)
i've had nata in Belém, Portugal the (heavily disputed) birthplace of pastel de nata and Joey Bats is the only nata in the states I've had that measures up.
also in the pandemic they've become a safe haven for outdoor standup comedy, so lotsa love for that.

I went dancing with my friends on the weekly sunday dance party. I brought my american friend along and we both danced all night long. Very friendly crowd. Very good food , exceptional desserts. This is a jackpot for having a good time dancing to music and experience ofthe day to day NYC life. I recomend to anyone.

Wonderful pastries handmade from owners mom! 1st time there now during covid they set up table chairs heaters enclosed with plexiglass social distancing tables apart with hand sanitizers on every table hospitality your entire stay there excellence! Will return

Best Portuguese egg tart ever. Literally.
Well worth the price. I had a pack of three in less then 1 minute. And I enjoyed all 60 seconds of it. Absolutely delicious and not a single regret.
If you know Portuguese egg tarts, then these will change your view that not all egg tarts are created equal.

Joey Bats has the best customer service I've seen. It's like he handles every order personally. The pasteis de natas were great. I've been to Portugal and they rival anything I had there!

The portuguese egg tarts are delicious. I wish I took a picture before I devoured it but yea it's good. Do try and just try to eat 1 as it's easy to eat 2 or 3 by yourself.
