Friendly service and delicious Natas. The espresso was great also. 3 $ per nata or 15$ for 6.

Tiny place, but they serve the best natas I've had outside of Portugal. Deliciously flaky and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness.

Pasteis de nata is the best pastry in NYC. We had it in their Lexington Ave location near the Roger Smith hotel. Delightful. Perfect custard in a crispy tart with just the right amount of cinnamon.

Highly recommend checking this place out! The interior is small and seating is limited. Steve was really friendly and patient with us when we asked questions and asked for recommendations. We ordered 2 natas to stay, the codfish fritter, chicken croquette, and the beef filled pastry. The natas are small, but they're delicious! It was smooth and had a strong egg flavor that was complimented well by the cinnamon and powdered sugar sprinkled on top. A must have! The codfish fritter is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It has a pleasant light fish flavor. I highly recommend if you enjoy white fish. The chicken croquette is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. It tastes similar to stewed chicken. The beef filled pastry is flakey and soft. The beef is moist and reminds me of the flavor profile of Chinese soup with beef. Overall, highly recommend getting the natas to dine in and to go! I would definitely come back again.

You can get Pasteis de Nata for $3.27. It's as good as you'd expect.

We had opportunity to visit their Ludlow, MA in September for first time & fell in love with their pastéis de nata & Suzanne, the owner's sister. We stopped in their NYC store this weekend & after having visited Lisbon about a week ago & having Pastéis de Belém, Joey Bats Cafe is the closest to the original Pastéis de Belém ❤️❤️

Excellent Pasteis de Nata - eat a few warm pasteis when you are at the store and pick up a couple dozen for the office.

The best Portuguese egg tarts! At $3 a pop, these are a quick, cheap, and delicious way to satiate your sweet tooth. Very flaky and soft, with a nice sweet undertone. Don't question this and just get yourself one or two...or ten!
