Purchased a Porsche 911 Turbo S approx 3 weeks ago. I had my mechanic check it out for peace of mind and he found an oily residue on the transmission pan which is normally covered up by a "skid plate" for lack of a better word. Motor Trends & their mechanic continually worked with me until he was able to narrow the leak down to the transmission vent which showed evidence that it had burbed a small amount of fluid during my test drive. This type of issue is what demonstrates if a company will stand behind their product with integrity. There was no charge to me for what ended up being close to 1 1/2 hours of labor by their mechanic while he allowed me to watch over his shoulder as he discovered where the leak had originated. I will definitely give Motor Trends a look when considering my next vehicle purchase.
