When I kept getting infections in my top teeth under a bridge I had for over 30 years, my dentist referred me to Coastal Jaw Surgery for dental implants as I did not want to get dentures. I was nervous about having all my teeth pulled and what the procedure would be like. My intake visits with Dr. Pikos at once put me at ease and assured me Coastal Jaw Surgery would take care of all my needs. He explained the entire procedure, start to finish. Dr. Pikos is easy to talk with, ask questions of, kind and funny! He answered all my questions fully, explaining anything I asked. I set an appointment for the surgery.
Prior to the procedure I met with Dr. Hedger, “a perfectionist” according to Dr. Pikos – and he is! Dr. Hedger is the one who takes the impressions and crafts the teeth. Dr. Hedger explained I’d get temporary teeth two days after the initial procedure while I waited for the healing necessary for the permanent teeth. Dr. Hedger said the temporaries look so good some folks think they’re the permanent ones. When I got them, he was correct - they were beautiful!
The office prepared me for the procedure, gave me instructions for prep before the procedure and said they’d be there to answer any questions before and especially afterward. They were wonderful, called me back and helped with whatever I needed.
When the time for my permanent teeth came, Dr. Hedger and his office staff did an amazing job of putting them in, adjusting as needed and giving me instructions on how to clean and keep them. Both of Dr. Hedger’s technicians patiently showed me how to keep the teeth clean, use the waterpik and mono-jet to clean my teeth – they were wonderful to work with. In fact, everyone I came in contact with was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend Coastal Jaw Surgery.
