Navigating trying to get out of debt from visa companies is extremely difficult...
TurboDebt does NOT negotiate with the credit card companies...
They are the head hunters in a sense; they find the best Debt Relief program in your State, review your assets and debt, review your extent of possible payments, and THEN they negotiate with the debt relief company what they find is the best rate you agreed you can pay at.
The debt relief company themselves then will spend 6 months plus collecting your money while payments to creditors are stopped, and then they go into negotiations on your behalf..
Went I went straight to the debt handling company, they set the monthly rates too high and I went under!!!!
Also if you have DISCOVER debt that had been extremely difficult to get a debt relief company to accept..!!?!! BUT as of this May 2025, Capitol One bought out DISCOVER so hopefully negotiations will fare better.
If you simply DON'T PAY pay your debts or don't try to use a mediator Debt Relief company, creditors (corrupt though their APR's can be) could bring you to court for arrears according to TurboDebt. . They force you through court to give the creditors a percentage of every single check you get from work, up to 25% even.
Disgusting and oppressive..
But the dangers of debt...
With TurboDebt as an intermediary, Kenneth's excellent sussing out of where I stood financially, easy to understand synopses of the plethora of requirements for my payments and paperwork to be signed, I found a feasible, and understandable payment plan with my low income standing.
For these reasons ending in very doable bi-weekly payments for where I'm at right now, I am giving Turbo Debt 5 stars.... and thanking Kenneth's help in guiding me through to a Debt Relief program that works with what I have at a rate I can handle.
