The service provided by all members of the RTL team in repairing my flood-affected investment property in Brisbane was exemplary. Starting with the estimator Steve, who was most obliging with the quotes he provided, particularly when catering for the additional detailed information required by my insurance company.
Then it was over to the project manager Darcy and his team who got cracking straight away and had all work, except for the kitchen, completed in no time. The delay with the kitchen was due to material shortages which were out of RTL’s control, but Darcy kept me well informed of progress so I would rate him 10 out of 10 for communication.
I live in Sydney so was not able to physically inspect the completed works before signing them off. This task was delegated to my property manager who identified several minor issues that required rectification. It was Darcy’s response to these that I cannot praise highly enough. He rang me straight away and informed me his team would be out the following day to rectify them, even though some of issues may not have been RTL’s doing (which I accept – probably pre-existing).
This he did and while there, they found a small leak in the powder room vanity. Darcy informed me that he would have his plumber back there the following day to rectify it. In the meantime, the tenant reported a leak in the shower upstairs. The property is a villa – upstairs was not affected by the flood and so was outside RTL’s scope of work. Notwithstanding this, the RTL team agreed to get their plumber to attend to this leak while he was on site repairing the leak in the powder room downstairs. Now THAT is customer service!
