I highly recommend Bates roofing. Very good product and the team that did the actual work had meticulous attention to detail. The team lead was Jremeel Aguilar. His crew was on time every day, kept me informed of what his crew was doing and was very professional. Obviously a roof is not something you replace that often but when you need to replace it you want to know you had good quality at a good price and installed by professionals that you can tell have been doing it for a while.

Bates Roofing submitted the best bid to replace our roof. They effectively communicated with me to coordinate the installation date and they showed up right on time. They did a fantastic job on the roof - they had to tear off the old roof and they replaced it with their Legacy product. It took about a day and a half to accomplish the job - and it looks great! Great coordination with their supervisors throughout the project - they addressed all my concerns quickly and efficiently. Great folks to deal with and they have great service and a great product. It was a pleasure to work with them!

He gave us the quote promptly and it was within our budget and the lowest of the 3 we obtained. We did not feel we were giving up any quality by going with the lowest bid. During the removal the team was very professional and replaced with my approval several sheets of plywood that was damaged. As many others have said, no one looks forward to having to replace a roof...and we were no different! However, after having several roofing companies tell us we probably needed a new roof, we chose Bates Roofing LLC. Although we live in Lacey and Bates is located in Puyallup, we figured that for a roofing company to remain in business for over 40 years, they must be doing it right...and they were willing to come down to Lacey!
After sending Bates an email requesting they check out my roof, I received a prompt reply from Brad, saying he could come down the next day. He arrived on time and after crawling around my roof for half an hour, he confirmed what others had told me...I needed a new roof. The next day I had an email from Brad with three bids with different qualities of materials as well as warranties...and all three bids were lower than other bids I had received. I chose the mid-range bid as it offered me an excellent product with a roof at a price I could afford.
A week later, Jose brought his team of professional roofers down and within two days, completed the project. Joe, the 'project manager" came down several times to "oversee" the work as it progressed, as well as to give it a final inspection.
Each and every representative of Bates the we encountered, either personally or on the telephone, was completely professional and represented Bates Roofing in an exemplary manner. The roofing crew was extremely conscientious in caring for our property and, in particular, for the landscaping surrounding our home. The overall organization of this project was the best I have ever seen, from the initial meeting with Brad through the actual roofing led by Jose, to the final inspection by Joe. The end result is a roof that looks great and will serve us well for many years into the future.
In conclusion, I don't think you will go wrong if you chose Bates Roofing, LLC for your next roofing project.

We had to have a an emergency roof replacement and called Bates for an estimate. We had four different companys come out and give us estimates all were referrals... of all the companies that came out and gave us a bid Bates was the best fit and most honest.
Brad came out was professional and upfront with us. We knew we needed a new roof after talking with knowledgeable friends and family based on they type of roof we had. Brad explained everything including the why's and broke down who, what, why and when any warranty would be applicable to us in the future. He was concise, real, throughout and all why not being gimmicky. They were able to get us in very quickly and their crew was very efficient and well mannered. They were super clean and careful. We share a driveway with neighbors and they managed to make sure their big truck was out of thr way and our neigh ors had a safe space to walk. They also made sure it was safe for anyone including when we had to take the dogs out for a potty break.
Would 100% use again and recommend to anyone looking for a new roof.

Bates roofing replaced my roof and I am very satisfied with the process and result. They met with me to get the particulars of what was needed. I had several vents added, a shed roof replaced, and a skylight replaced. They provided a competitive estimate with up front pricing. This included a per sheet of plywood cost for any damaged plywood that was found. Other than a few sheets of plywood, there were no surprise charges. The crew was professional and cleaned up when they were done. I recommend them for your roof replacement.

The bid process and installation were both informative, helpful and according to what was contracted for. Their price was in the middle of six estimates we procured. One month after job completion I have not found any leaks or other related installation problems. They surprised me with including a ridge vent for my garden shed, that we had not discussed earlier. Thank you! Cleanup was thorough both days of installation. We have already recommended Bates Roofing to a few friends.

Project started earlier than expected, they were efficient with their time without rushing it and stayed in constant communication throughout the project. Very reasonable pricing and very attentive to concerns and needs as you go through the process. They wrote letters for us to present to our HOA so we wouldn't receive fines as we went through the process. If I had to give some constructive criticism I would say they could improve their process of finishing the job. It was kind of unclear when they were done, they just left and we got emails a few days later. A little bit of gutter gunk was splattered on one of the sides of our house also. Least of my worries though and everything went very smoothly with a high quality of craftsmanship and professionalism applied to their work. Highly recommend them for anyone looking to replace their roof!
Also we had some gutters that were draining improperly and they fixed them for us, something I noticed that I really appreciated. (gutters were draining against the siding of the house and they cut and turned the outlet so it would drain properly to the roof, away from the siding) They could have easily ignored this and just went about the roof install. Thank you Bates!
