The best choice I made when researching complete dental implants was to make an appointment with Dr. Drone.
I have had a lot of dental procedures, had a lot of frustration and anxiety about my teeth. I've spent a ton of money trying to keep my natural teeth over the years. Because of all that, I just could not stand going to the dentist!! I'd never had a positive experience with dental visits.
Starting out with my implant journey I had several x rays and a few CT scans done. Those diagnostics showed that i had some anatomical anomalies with my jaw bone which made my case more difficult. I was so fearful that I would not be a candidate for implants but Dr. Drone assured me that he would come up with a plan and we would make this work! His office gave me my first positive experience r/t my teeth
There was so much that went into planning my surgery-- several meetings between Dr. Drone and Dr. Surber (Oral Surgeon) to determine the best treatment plan for me, several office appointments for me to go over everything and design my new teeth. Dr. Drone and his staff took a lot of time going over everything pre and post op to ensure I understood everything.
About 3 months after my initial appointment it was finally time for surgery! I had no stress or fear that morning, i was completely relaxed and ready to go.
Because of Dr. Drone, Dr. Surber, and their office staff I felt 100% confident that I was in very capable hands!
I was given IV sedation and had a very peaceful nap Everything went great!! In about 4 hours i had all my teeth pulled, 9 holes drilled into my jaws and the hardware to hold the implants placed. I am so thankful for everyone involved in this process, they gave me back a beautiful smile!!
My surgery was about 6 weeks ago and I've had absolutely no problems. For now I only have my temporary acrylic teeth while my mouth continues to heal, and my jaw bone around the implants continues to get stronger. In about 3 months I'll get the permanent implants screwed in, I'm so looking forward to it!!
If you are reading this review because you're trying to find a great Periodontist, you can stop looking. Call the office, go in for a consult. I wholeheartedly recommend it
