I have to say that my experience of Mortgage hunting was a bit like going for a swim in shark infested waters as there seem to be plenty outfits looking for big up front fees without any promises, predating on unsuspecting, unwary or financially vulnerable punters. Not having been in the mortgage market for a while with advancing age, retirement and increased cost of living, I felt a bit unsure so had put out feelers to four different advisor firms. All had a different approach from ‘can’t help you’ to ‘pay £2300 up front and we’ll see what we can do’. The Mortgage shop seemed reasonable in their proposed charges and especially that the fed became payable upon receipt of offer. Your own straightforward, personable, patient and thorough management of my enquiry won through, particularly as you were able to add a down-to-earth slant on the bureaucracy in favour of the applicant rather than simply a ‘computer says no’ approach. I would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending your advisory services to anyone.
