I never thought that I would ever buy a home, thought I would "rent forever," but I came into an inheritance that allowed me to really think that I could buy, and in this "high inflation, high mortgage interest market" at that. Just by chance, I decided to look at a Zillow house that was on the North Shore, that really didn't pan out, but I met Shari Fecteau who was an angel and a godsend with so much kindness, business acumen, with a wonderful team that included every part of mortgage, real estate attorneys, inspectors and anything that was needed to make good decisions. That was in March and I didn't really find "the house" until September (although there were several that I thought "were the one" until something broke the spell -- mold, mildew, closet size, etc.), but Shari was ready to help 24/7, always ready to see a house with me and trying to find a window in her day to meet me at a property, driving to the hinterlands if there was a house that "looked interesting" to me. She is level-headed, very knowledgeable about comps, market, what to offer to make my request stand out from all of the others and most of all kind and understanding. I was "in the running" on a couple of houses that just kept going up and up and up, and I had to decide each time to say "No" because that sort of bidding war could just go on forever. Shari took it in stride and we started looking again. We successfully closed on my "dream house" on Halloween and I am looking forward to moving in after Christmas. I could have never done it without Shari, her knowledge, and expertise and her savvy. She is the absolute best! I have recommended her to several of my colleagues already, although they are waiting a few months before they start hunting again, but I will continue to sing Shari's praises. I do not ever expect to purchase another home, but I will continue to send friends and colleagues to her because she is very good at her job, the kind of person that one needs on their team -- she makes one feel that they are part of the team.
