I started this journey for myself, not for my husband, my children or anyone else. I needed to do this for ME. Sounds selfish but in all reality, it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself in a very long time. Gradually I have been getting more active and today, I ran/jogged probably for the first time since the beginning of high school . Normally I would just walk but today was different I decided to get the kids on their bikes our dog on his leash. I jogged while the kids rode their bikes we went over 3 miles there and back. I feel AMAZING!! Including my kids in the activities and pushing MYSELF to be Betr, has lead to THEM being Betr. They’re sleeping better at night, they’re eating better, they aren’t as cranky, and they have happy energy that they are able to release by going on adventures like we did today. Now 40 days after starting and 20 LBS down I’m not only doing this for myself, but I’m doing it for my family to support them on living a happier Betr lifestyle.
