3rd time on their Mother's day cruise. It's usually great. But This year (2019) some of the food was a bit bland (particularly the fish). The music was horrible this year. The host turned it into a historic tour which most ppl on this particularbcruise are New Yorkers anyway. Spare us... There was pouring rain and very windy that day yet idiots kept opening the door to go out in the wind and rain AND leaving the door open. 3 of us got wet. No fault really of the cruiseline but in the future, either barr persons from exiting and entering in bad weather or seat NO GUESTS by the doorways.

overall, nice experience. I just wish they had more buffets because they send you there depending on your sitting. If you are in the very back, you don't get to see the whole buffet since there are many dishes already gone.

Returned on 12-30-18 for the Jingle Bells cruise. It was ok until the coffee- first a stained cup and then one with a huge crack. The manager apologized and offered another cup, which I declined. Minutes later, the server decided to place another cup of coffee near me anyway. I did not drink it. Although I was once an avid lunch and brunch cruiser, as I was planning a February 1, 2019 dinner cruise. I have changed my mind. I will not support nor engage others in supporting Spirit of New York in the future. 3 stars

Was great staff was very helpful music on point. The food not so good. I was told there was a buffet and just got chicken wings and rice. Drinks very expensive

Great views, but if you expect this to be a high end experience you will be disappointed.
The views are indeed beautiful, but the overall service and dining experience is not that great for the price (around 150 per person excluding drinks).
We started with a cheese board appetizer - it was embarrassing: 2 pounds of cheap cheese pilled up inches high and falling out of the edges of the tray.
The food was excessively seasoned (all things were spicy) and was served buffet style with a very long line. Our server was friendly but not qualified and was not familiar with wine serving etiquette (didn't show bottle, no taste, filled all glasses to the top).
I would this again if the price was no more than half of what it cost us (around 200 each: 150 base price drinks and tip)
