It’s been a good first week for me. The teaching of the daily lesson makes it very doable. The biggest thing is just getting your fingers moving again. It’s been many years since I’ve played, but I’m excited about where I’m going with it. Thanks!

Hi Tony,I wanted to drop you a line of encouragement for what you are doing. I joined the Tony's Acoustic Guitar family in May 2025. I have 157 Playing Sessions to-date. I am a retired 64 year old pharmaceutical executive and I am having a ball playing guitar. Your encouraging style and the way you break down the week's lessons has been exactly what the doctor ordered for me. Playing guitar is very relaxing for me. Seeing my progress will keep me playing. I think I'm ready for fretboard wizard but would like your guidance as to whether I should tackle it as a next step. Thank you for all you do for guys and gals like me!

I love having structured lessons everyday! And when they all come together at the end of the week, it definitely gives me a feeling of accomplishment. I’ve learned more in the past eight weeks, than in the previous two years of dabbling. Tony is an excellent teacher!

It's kind of funny, my guitar store is Tony's guitar store. I think I met him there years ago, and I knew about his course. I was one of those guys that thought, why should I pay a teacher for lessons, when they are free on youtube! That was 5 years ago, and I have been NOT learning all that time. Needless to say, I pretty much gave up, because deep down inside I really thought "I'm never gonna REALLY learn to play guitar". Finally, a few months ago I looked into Tony's course more deeply, and thought "what do I have to lose" and signed up. After the "30 days to play" at the start of the course, I told my wife that I was really going to learn to play guitar! No doubt anymore. Big change from "I'm never going to learn guitar! If I still lived in Montana, I would buy Tony a beer!

A dear friend of mine, Ben, recently passed away and left me one of his guitars because "...he wanted to leave his guitars to people who would play them." I realized that I had to find a way to get back into playing. I'd taken lessons. I'd dabbled, but I always stalled out. A year ago I subscribed to a web course which had 10,000 options, but I found myself completely lost about what to do and how to approach so many options. Then I ran across your video "The truth about learning guitar over 50." Every excuse, reason, or bad habit you described I found myself nodding along with and saying "yup, did that!" I've cleaned out a corner of my office, have my two guitars and Ben's guitar out on stands, and have committed to at least 10 minutes a day. Calluses are coming back, dog howls while I tune up, and I know somewhere my friend Ben is happy that his guitar is getting played.

I was reluctant to join TAC because I’ve found it difficult to see finger positions on YouTube lessons I’ve taken. Additionally, while I like the teachers and their abilities, they seemed to speak/move too quickly for me. Taking the 5 day free challenge changed my view. Tony is articulate, speaks at the right pace and even though I still have trouble viewing finger positions, the TABS are game changers for me. The lessons are so well organized and structured, that I feel I am succeeding at becoming a better player. Additionally, Tony makes it easy and fun to play my guitar daily. I highly recommend TAC!
