Tony has put a lot of thought behind these lessons as they are structured to be fun, have transferable skills and never get stuck in a rut of just learning a few songs. As a beginner I appreciate that everything doesn’t have to be perfect the first nor second time around each lesson, and to reward yourself for small victories and learning some of the skills. You don’t get confined to a few chord nor scale shapes as it’s a more holistic approach to learning guitar with special added theory and specific topics to hone your skills if you want. The five day structure of technique, chords, rhythm, scales, soloing, options, auditory/ visual/ tablature and backing track learning combinations, plus the weekend to practice is a great format even if you can’t seem to find much time every week! Tony is a very accomplished instructor but it’s his enthusiasm, personality, TAC family of love and encouragement that sets him apart.

I originally joined TAC about 4 years ago. I didn't have the patience to really understand how to use the program. After casting around the Internet and some live lessons, I was getting nowhere. I decided to come back to TAC and this time took time to explore the system. I have been following it faithfully for about 16 months now. I love Tony's friendly, reasonable and understanding approach to practice. I am systematically learning techniques that will prove useful in my guitar journey. It's a very good and cost effective investment!

Because I just renewed my yearly membership, for some reason the computer system thinks I'm new. I got a question about how my first week went, well that was several years ago. However, I'm staying with TAC. I have learned a tremendous amount. Even if each day is not applicable to how you play, you will learn something that is applicable to being a player. I'm going to review Fretboard Wizard for the 3rd time soon. Thanks. Steve

The daily challenge is a bit disconcerting since I’ve always taken a “Master something new before trying another new thing.” I’m sticking with it and trusting the system

Tony, I'm glad I joined in. I did not have intentions of on-line classes, but I watched your introduction, and I decided to go with it. I had taken lesson for the prior 3 years. I had lost someone close to me, so I stopped my lessons, and I played very little for about 6 months. I had put a lot of work into myself during the lesson times and I was losing it. That's when I saw your guitar lesson stuff on-line. I needed to get back into it. My goal is playing jazz guitar with other musicians. It's a lot more involved than I thought when I started, but I love the music, and the challenge is good for me. I like what you have to offer. It's not too much all at once and It's helping me with knowing chords on the fretboard which I have not come close to mastering. I do need to work on all of this. It's not jazz, but I'm learning to play that guitar. I'm doing my best to keep up. I roll with it on a daily basis. Your lessons are a positive drive. Thank You, always the best to you. Mike T.
