Hey Tony. I’m 67 and have rheumatoid arthritis. I’m retired after having and beating stage 4 lymphoma. I told my doctor that I’m learning to play and he said from looking at the X-rays of my hands, unless he heard that from me he wouldn’t believe it. I’m a retired cabinet maker and my hands are still in pretty good shape. I’m determined to do this and I like the way you go about teaching. You seem like a cool dude and someone I could actually hang with. Lol. Where I struggle is with the fingering like for example the G chord. I spend days just trying to get my fingers to those positions. I started out with “ breakthrough guitar” but find myself more drawn to you and your personality. As I said I’m determined and feel the need to be with my guitar. Haha. My girlfriend is amazed at how much I practice at it. She’s hard of hearing which at this point in my guitar journey is probably a godsend. It’s really a relationship with the guitar and now you. I look forward to learning.

This was a very fun lick. I asked for lessons for an early Christmas gift. I haven’t picked up my guitar in years. I am the description of what Toni says. I started in 1979 with lessons. Put it down picked it up 20 yrs later. Put it down and just picked it up again 15 years later. I finally feel like I could progress this time. We will see what this next year brings. Thank you for the encouragement.

Since 2020 I have been a member of Tony’s TAC family! Have enjoyed learning licks that have enabled me to play songs I enjoy from the 60’s and 70’s especially Old Man by Neil Young! Only suggestion is end of the week print the whole song out with the cords learned the lick perhaps even lyrics!

Hey Tony - I have not played my guitar in over 20 years and now enjoying playing thanks to your on line course. I find it perfect for me to learn at home and starting to make progress. Look forward to continuing the journey and look forward to the day i can play songs around the camp fire. Best Regards,Colin

Two years. Two years. That's how long I took private guitar lessons and at the end I knew a few riffs but couldn't manage a cord transition and couldn't play one song. Frustrated, I put the guitar down for ten years. Last year I saw Tony's ad and thought it looked promising. A year later there was a Black Friday sale. I decided to sign up for the whole year and I'm hooked. I have learned more in three weeks and had more fun in three weeks than I ever had before. I'm confident in another month or less I'll be able to play an entire song. I want to play every day. I enjoy playing every day. I never thought I could do this before now.
