I am a total newby. I play a mean "AIR" guitar, but when it comes down to playing the real thing....it's a struggle. I have had friends in the past that have taken a couple minutes here and there to show me a few things but...I could not retain the info. What I really like about this course and the way Tony teaches is memory retention. I have learned over the last week how to really do things; meaning chords, picking and strumming. My fingers are sore and my wrist is sore. I know learning a new thing comes with challenges but the challenge is truly mine. When I heard Tony talk about commitment to myself, this really struck a chord! I have set a particular time of day to practice playing and it's sticking. Not only will I keep up with the program (as frustrating as it is to me) but I will learn it this time. Nervous...yes. Thinking about "open mic"....Lol...maybe someday! Thanks Tony

I'm a new player. Started taking in person classes five weeks ago but needed something different while traveling. Signed up with the TAC program. One week in and I'll say the daily sessions were challenging. Not picking up the guitar everyday, but the lesson itself was challenging. I was able to slow it down though to a speed that I could start with. By day two the tempo picked up, by the end of the week I had it down. It has been a lot of fun. Excited for week two

These lessons have made me feel like I know all of the songs! I mean, I don’t really know all of the songs, but I know a lot about a lot of songs now – even ones I haven’t learned yet. And my uptake is much quicker than it used to be. As an example when we did Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi, I played it for my wife after only a week or so of learning it. She can be a tough critic. Her first statement was, “I know that I know that song, but you play it prettier than the original.”I've been here for four years now. If you’re just starting out, stick with it and develop a rock solid guitar habit, and the improvement will come! I will admit, when I watched the promo video the first time, Tony is a great salesman and I thought, "I might be falling for a sales pitch here." I was, but it was a sales pitch for a great guitar lesson program! At least give it a try. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

I have made real progress with this instruction. Learning to accept progress over perfection has made a big difference. I now look forward to picking up the guitar and learning. Having fun. The best way to express this is to quote my wife “Your practice sounds like real music.” Never heard that before . Thanks Tony

My hesitation was simply that TAC is an online asynchronous program without personal attention. Because of the nature of the program, my particular needs are not, yet, addressed. The thing I struggle with still is having small hands which makes reaching for chords and chord transitions challenging. When I played guitar previously, I self-taught, by learning how to use alternate tuning. All of that said, I still have been able to learn many things about playing guitar that I did not know. As a person who works in higher education, I can say from experience that TAC is very well-structured. I will be continuing with TAC to get as much as I can from TAC courses and continue to search for some tailored lessons for people like myself. The other great benefit of TAC is that there is a community. I would recommend TAC to other people who want to learn guitar.
