So I am 56 years old and live in the UK. I had always wanted to learn to play guitar but I never got round to it. Then a few years ago when I bought a guitar but I couldn't afford 1:1 lessons, none of my friends play guitar and there were no groups near me I could join. Instead I started by buying some teach yourself guitar books and DVD's. Then I tried several on line courses but none of them kept my imterest or explained things in a way that stuck or made sense. I wanted to learn how to play guitar and have fun, but these other courses just didn't hit the spot. There seemed no purpose or direction to what they were teaching me. Then I started watching Tony on YouTube especially Acoustic Tuesday and I loved it. He has great ehthusiasm for teaching and his love for acoustic guitars shones in a way other teachers don't show. Whilst he comes across as laid back has an informal style but so interesting and passionate. I tried some of the free little tips, tricks and lessons Tony did on Acoustic Tuesday and probably learnt more guitar skills from that than anything else I'd tried. As soon as I could afford it I signed up to TAC and although I have only (slowly) completed the '30 days to play' course, I have played nearly every single day. I have really enjoyed it and found the lessons both challenging (in a good way) but also so enjoyable. Tony's way of explaining what you are going to do, his constant enthusiasm and down to earth approach to teaching is excellent. It is motivating and supportive and makes me feel like, "hey don't worry, don't stress you've got this". For the first time since I bought a guitar a few years ago I can finally look my partner, friends and family in the eye and say "I'll be playing tunes for you soon". My guitar isn't just a guitar-case-shaped ornament. It's an instrument I am starting to play!! There have been a few days where I was away and couldn't play my guiatr and for the first time ever I really really missed it and that is down to TAC. Just a fantastic course, I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough.

Wow is all I can say!! My first day and my first Lesson I learned something I've always wanted to learn on guitar...THE BLUES baseline. Too much fun, I'm already hooked and cannot wait to see where this journey takes me!

Hi Tony,Although i have played bass guitar and guitar for many years, your course has re-ignited my passion and gives a fresh approach to learning from the basics onwards.Unfortunately, I have developed a ganglion on top of my left (freeting) hand at the base of my index finger. I have been advised to consult an ortheopedic surgeon to remove it. Thus I have reduced my time on your course, but am continuing, consistently, but with longer intervals, so it will take a bit longer to complete.I hope you will understand!

Got so far with the guitar by learning abit here and bit there from a friend or a book, but never had the encouragement at the beginning and end of each lesson like you get from your lessons.You make me feel like I’m being taught personally and in a great way so thanks for that have come on understanding so much in just a week.
