This is a great program. Tony’s lesson videos really spell out what is happening and the goal of the lesson. I aspire to one day Play Like Tony!I do find the materials challenging. I have to review the tablature as I am more of a visual learning. Once I review the tabs and spend some time there I go back and review the videos to really get the feel of the practice. I am making progress and can say so far playing pretty consistently. I could easily spend more time and find myself looking forward to the next chance I have to pick up the guitar. I also signed up for the Fretboard wizard. That has helped me understand the structure of the music. I would recommend it for anyone who is new to the guitar even if you have experience in other musical instruments.

I hesitated at first because of all the mentions about cost of private lessons, without any mention of the costs of the TAC program. Be proud of TAC… let people know upfront of the ridiculously reasonable cost. I am not one who writes on websites and I don’t type well. After not picking up a guitar for 50 years, the self-paced TAC was a godsend. I’m coming from a rudimentary classical guitar background and this style of guitar study really gets me excited to practice but old habits die hard and I can’t stop after 10 minutes. I do think that some skills really need to be stressed(like picking…I’m terrible at it and just the thought breaks me out in a cold sweat). I definitely see progress but I rarely feel that I have mastered anything…but that’s ok! I even got rid of my old Giannini classical 3/4 guitar and got a Zager acoustic thanks to TAC.

I played years ago, self taught by ear. Having someone actually explain the mechanics and reasoning behind it is more helpful then retraining myself on what I knew. I fly thru the chording parts. Learning the real music side is great and just what i wanted.

The courses easier to follow than I was doing on YouTube. I like the way it’s presented. It’s easy and I make plenty of time every day to work on a little even though it seems I’m a little slow in my head.

Sadly, I have just signed on to cancel my account. I haven't been able to spend as much time on this site as I would have liked, but want to say that Tony has been a joy, and the instruction has been great, too. I just don't have the time to put into it right now, and as a senior citizen, I'm having to cut back on expenses. I hope I'll be able to rejoin in the future. So, I'm hoping this is more like "see ya later" than "goodbye."
