I am so tickled to have discovered Tony’s Acoustic Challenge. It was quite by accident but has been so rewarding and encouraging. I have a tendency toward ‘perfectionism’ and so when I tried taking lessons before I would try so hard and practice to ‘perfect’ but within 3-4 weeks would lose my enthusiasm. It became ‘work’ and the joy and excitement that I had started with would disappear altogether. Tony has created an atmosphere of encouragement. I feel I am learning a life skill - look for the positive, the small wins. He has crafted the lessons so that they have one overarching theme for the week - often a song but unifies all the lessons by having a weekly rhythm. Monday is skill building, Tuesday are licks, Wednesday are chances to improvise (but with guidance that makes sense), Thursday is rhythm guitar and Fridays we get to ‘put it all together’. Some weeks are ‘just plain hard’ for a beginner like me but it is so interesting that I still am learning something and I trust Tony. Consistency matters and over time I do see that I’m gaining more skills. Truly - I love this course. Whole worlds are opening up. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon it. Thank you so much! Elysa

This is a great program. The structure and format are excellent. It ha often me back to playing daily and enjoying playing again.

Tony, your course so far has answered a lot of my questions so far. Brand new to guitar. Played clarinet back in the 70’s,,,, not the right choice. Then piano when i was much younger with a mom who was fantastic, so that didn’t go well. Now wanted to understand how to play guitar and realize how amazing you and the others playing are!!! Hope I become one of you at some point in the future.

It's been a great first week of being a guitar player again! The lessons are easy to follow and only playing 10 minutes a day makes it manageable. I look forward to playing every day and want to continue my progress and new guitar habit.

I have tried to learn guitar before and it didn’t last long. TAC’s approach of daily challenges has made a huge difference and I am making slow but steady progress. I have learned a ton in my first month and I look forward to my daily playing time/challenges. Thank you Tony for the exceptional program and dedication to helping other learn guitar.
