I am really enjoying picking up my guitar again. My calluses on my fingers are getting good. I can play a lot longer without them hurting. lolI never did more than playing chords before. Learning to use a pick and picking the strings has made it so much more fun. We have had a big hail storm that caused a lot of damage to our home and around the farm. So that’s slowing down my progress a little bit. I’ll be back at it every day again real soon.

Been doing Tony's 30 days to play, 5 day challenge and a few daily challanges, I am not very music inclined, (love listening), but retired now, i thought that I would take the challange and learn, i keep going forward and coming back to review, and I find when I come back challanges are easier, but progression is slow, fingers are slow, but if I can notice change, then its a win, thanks to Tony's encougement.

I was a half-assed wannabe player who totally stopped playing in 2014 following open heart surgery. I picked up the guitar to rehabilitate my left hand which was stiffening up. As my hand responded well I thought I should do something more productive with the guitar. Having been disappointed with previous courses on line I was shopping for something not too expensive and something that offered a strategy that I could buy into. I was interested in having fun playing but also in a venue that was different systematically yet induced you strongly to develop a daily diciplined routine. So you seemed to fit the bill and here I am 30 days plus 3 weeks of Daily Challenges later. Notwithstanding two guitars with technical issues, I kept playing. I have now solved the technicsl issues ( thanks to Guitar No 3) and I am seeing real progess in my playing and really having fun doing it. I have done my assessment and set my 90 day goal.

Hey. I’m early on yet am playing with joy and creativity. My schedule does not allow the standard pace but I come back and knock out several days at a time. A great feature is I can go back and review/refresh previous lessons and see how easy they’ve become as I move along. Bar chords are still tough but I can hit them quick now and again. So, if the question ever arises if you can teach an old dog new tricks, the answer is yes.
