I suffered from information overload from well meaning guitar players both live and online. I took about 9 lessons with two different teachers, neither of whom were interested in what music I liked nor gave me a structure for learning. Practicing was tedious with no goal to aim for. It was frustrating and felt like work.I'm only a week in but so far TAC has been the complete opposite. There's a clear structure for learning and charting progress. Starting with a blues pattern in the first lesson immediately felt like I was playing, not practicing. I play every day because I want to.

One week in. Joining on a challenge week was a bit overwhelming having only known 5 chords. I had taken some lessons from friends on our worship team, really good players but, not teachers. Love this so far. This is late winter 2025 and cdn exchange rate was staggeringly expensive for me but absolutely no regrets! Cheers!

I've been playing now for 10 weeks and look forward to every Monday morning! I can't believe how much I am coming along. I love this "no practice", "just play" methodology. It is perfect for my personality and learning style. I also look forward to seeing Tony every day. He is always interesting with a new take on all the ideas he presents. I am very excited for my progress. Thank you!

I just rejoined TAC in January after being away for about 3 1/2 years. I will be 75 in September and have played off and on since I was a teenager in the 60’s. I didn’t play much the last few years, so I joined again to get back into playing shape again. I must say TAC has helped immensely. I want to play and learn to keep myself mentally sharp since I am in my golden years, and what could be better than a musical instrument! I have played in bands in the past, the last being 22 years ago, so some of the lessons seem more geared for the beginner, but I can usually find something everyday to help me learn a new skill or new song. I would like to take the Fretboard Wizard course, but it’s a little pricey on my senior income. Maybe someday…thanks Tony! I highly recommend TAC, especially for those just starting their guitar journey!

I have tried other online Guitar lessons, and have had moderate success. I feel it is my fault for not doing better. I am 70 years old, and have many of the problems of people my age. However, it is still up to me to keep myself motivated. What I like about Tony’s program is his way of teaching. I also like the process of time. I may have three days in a row in which I can practice, then not have time for another three or four days. I can pick up where I left off without any guilt. I have been doing Tony’s course for about two weeks now, and am enjoying it. I feel I am motivated. Getting back to the age issues, there are somethings that my fingers just can’t do! I stretch and exercise them the best I can. In the past I have learned a couple of “cheater” cords that have really helped me. May not be perfect, but close enough! And I can do most with two fingers! I believe any thing that can help me overcome my arthritis is a plus!
