I started TAC after seeing Tony's videos on YouTube, it's not just his method of learning but for me it's his positive outlook that anyone can learn guitar, young and older folks like myself. Tony's words of encouragement seem to come at the right time when things can be a bit tough and they help me to keep on going. I was taking in person lessons for almost a year which went stale quickly. Yes I did get chords, learning notes on the fret board, was given some music but mostly it was me listening to his songs he was going to play at an event. Anyway I have learned more in my two months at TAC than the past year. My advice is give TAC a try, you will not be disappointed.

It's been nearly two years since I had consistently played (dabbled) with my guitar and then I was only playing chords at the top end of the neck. I have now just completed Week 1 of 30 Days To Play and I have already learned so much, just from the Primer! I'm fretting previously uncharted territory on the fretboard and playing individual notes. It's been a challenge playing notes rather than chords and I'm struggling still with interference from a finger pressing on more than a single string. However, I am confident that the process outlined here and a return of callouses on my fingertips will make it all work out. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone interested in learning to play acoustic guitar!

TAC is just what I’ve been looking for! Finally I have some structured direction. I don’t have to spend time wondering “what should I be doing next”. It’s already planned out for me.

What, if anything, made you hesitate to sign up for TAC? There was minimal hesitation on my part. I thought the cost was in line with what I expected. After watching the videos, I was ready to sign up and did so.What did you find once you became a member? It was very easy to get started, and I'm making some progress. I'm happy that you helped me establish a habit of learning with my time. My habit is to play with my morning coffee, which makes it easy to make time for myself. However, I have been retired for 5 years. I have time for this. What's the thing you love most about TAC? Making progress is easy, and it helps you keep track on a weekly, monthly, and 90-day basis. What type of player do you think it's best for? BeginnersI also have my son-in-law helping me out, as he has been playing the guitar for a long time and has been very supportive.

I am enjoying the Tony's Acoustic Challenge course. I have been a guitar "beginner" for years. The structure of the course is what keeps me coming back. I used to kind of wander around in my attempts to learn. Now with a structured routine I am staying with it longer than I ever had before. All I wanted to do was learn to play rhythm guitar on the acoustic. TAC is teaching me much more than I thought I wanted. I had previously thought I would never be able to flat pick or finger pick. What I have found is that even though TAC isn't focusing on rhythm playing as much as I had thought it would, My overall playing is progressing. I appreciate the idea of not trying to be perfect (not that it would happen anyway) but to make progress. I am 65 years old and have issues with both hands. I can't stretch very well. I struggle to get three frets and bar chords are almost impossible. In spite of all of that I am progressing and the most important thing is I look forward to the lessons. They are fun. Well, not all are fun. The week of bar chords was miserable but the rest have been fun. I say I am making progress, don't get me wrong, I still suck at guitar but I suck a lot less. Sean
