I just started Tony's Acoustic Challenge this week and am having a blast. I took lessons about thirty-five years ago and just started playing again upon retirement. I had simply been playing chords and songs and am now enjoying learning picking skills, learning the blues baseline, scales and the fretboard.

Been playing chords for years but wanted to raise my level by learning to enrich songs with riffs and solos. In two months of lessons that world has opened up to me. I'm beginning to understand how I can have more to offer in my guitar playing. Next step is adding some of learned techniques and improvisations to my own songs.

I've been working through the program for about three weeks and I'm very impressed with the way the classes are structured - from the initial overview of the lesson to the play section where you can go back and repeat the lesson until you feel like you have a good handle on it.I wish there was a little more attention given to mechanics - fretting to avoid thuds and buzzy chords and proper pick holding - to name a couple. Perhaps these concerns will be addressed later on.

Overall I have been impressed with the program; it is easy to follow and the encouragement is top notched. The lessons are easy to follow and I am learning so much. Even though you have a great program, it is up to me to log in each day and do my work (which isn’t really work). That is my commitment to the program and myself, log in and enjoy. Thank you for your love of teaching others, I feel it. Greg

Still in week 3 of 30 days to play, though it has been around 40 days of practice. But having started from near zero, I am very pleased with progress so far. It's funny, I just turned 58, I bought my guitar when I was 18. Finally, after 40 years, I am getting somewhere. I can hear incremental improvements every day, and for the first time, really enjoying what I am doing. I really appreciate the the program and quite enjoy Tony's chronically positive encouraging attitude. Now back to strumming. ;)
