I have been a TAC member for a number of years, but my participation has been sporadic. It was nice getting some experience with different techniques and getting some experience playing all over the fretboard. But, I couldn't seem to really "learn" the various runs, rifts, etc., for more than the week it was part of our practice, and my enthusiasm was up and down. It all seemed sort of "disconnected" to me. Now, I just "tuned back in", in October, 2023, when my membership automatically renewed. I discovered the approach has evolved to learning parts of a real song throughout the week, and being able to play that song by the end of the week. The songs chosen for October and November have been great songs, classics, and I look forward everyday to logging in and learning the new lesson for the day! Life still gets in the way sometimes for logging in every day, but I have been able to catch up on the weekends. I am really enjoying TAC now!

I am a 3 1/2 year TAC member. I started in May 2020 after the pandemic shut down all sports, live music, and fun of every description. I bought a guitar after my first son was born and had a year of lessons, that led to pretty much nowhere. TAC's daily challenge structure is they key to success. Having to follow a daily script makes you want to plug in and keep going. Tony's goofy, hockey-infused instructional manner keeps things lively. He is a gifted instructor, and there are very few of those on the internet based instructional vids available. Fretboard Wizard then took things to a whole other level. My guitar journey has leaped ahead and while there is a way to go yet, my mindset is now unchangeable. On we go till I can play "Little Martha". :) Cheers to all

I struggled to make any headway playing my guitar because I wasn't sure what the heck I should be working on. I always just sat down and did the same songs and couldn't move forward. The daily challenge is just what I needed to help my progress. I don't always love what Tony is working on but I know it's going to help me in some way. Some days I take just 5 minutes to play through the lesson and other times I take 30. All I can say is at least I am picking up my guitar consistently and working on new stuff constantly. I love how Tony explains things and he is easy to listen to. I can definitely say that I have gotten better in the last 6 months with him and I have joined for another year (saved a bit by doing it too!). Thanks Tony, Jeff

I'm a week into this and very pleased with what I see so far. It's a very structured program which is what I needed. I've been picking up the guitar for years but couldn't seem to stick with it because I didn't have a clear plan to follow. I always seem to hit a wall when I get to barre chords :) The program has so much built in that will keep me accountable and get me to that break through stage where playing guitar becomes a habit and a true part of my life. This time around is make or break for me....thank you.

I signed up last Wednesday and decided to wait until Monday to begin the course. I'm enjoying it immensely. I have played guitar for years, but I never have felt that I knew how the guitar "worked." I am retired and have plenty of time to play, so I'm doing the 30-day Challenge and the Daily Challenge and am loving it so far. It's fun to be able to play stuff right off rather than going through weeks of endless exercises and finger drills.
