I've been 'playing' at playing guitar for 20 years, but even though I have memorized and internalized a lot, there are still 'blanks' in my knowledge that these lessons are helping to plug. Case in point. I know all 5 pentatonic positions by heart, but I had never grasped the utility of using more than one pattern at a time while improvising lead solos until the 'Slice and Dice' improvisation lesson. Suddenly I realized, this 'scale' he's teaching us is a Gmaj pentatonic scale that is transitioning between 3 different pentatonic patterns! Knowing that made it so much easier to play. But more importantly, it massively improved my ability to improvise. I realize that folks who don't yet have pentatonic scales or CAGED methods under their belt wouldn't benefit from this particular "A-HA!" moment, but the way you teach brings the potential for a LOT of "A-HA!" moments across all levels of experience. Great job!
