A year ago I suffered a stroke. When I got my guitars out of storage in August,(I had moved cross country in Dec. 2020) I discovered I couldn't play. At all. I couldn't remember chords. I couldn't remember how to move my fingers to make a chord. I began to cry. Then I began to play, even though I couldn't actually play. Some of my playing began to come back.
In looking inside myself as I began to relearn the guitar, I also began to reimagine what playing might be like. I started thinking if I can learn new techniques and learn the fretboard...I didn't just think about getting back to where I was. I saw I could be better than I was.
Here I am a little over a month into Tony's course.
At first I thought it a bit complex. I then started with the 30 day beginner challenge. Much better for me. Now I am looking forward to each daily lesson.
His system is great. Devoting each day to a specific aspect and eventually bringing those elements together is very powerful. His teaching style is good. Love having backup tracks to practice with.
In case I didn't communicate this, this is a great course and provides incredible value.

I took the leap and joined TAC the beginning of March . There is sooooo much to do to stay motivated and inspired . Lessons are broke down in easy to follow chunks. Also what's nice is being able to go back and play it again if needed. I've been stuck in the mud for a long time , looping through the same boring stuff without progress or knowing how to advance since my teacher became unavailable. TAC is the CPR, AED First Aid I needed to breath life and inspiration back into my guitar experience.

The only thing I can really say, I wish I started this years ago!! Being a dabbler and never really progressing for years, I feel over the past few months my playing has gotten so much better, I look forward to the daily challenges, and picking my guitar up everyday.

I love the AC format, and have learned so much about theory. Best part: AC gives me a consistent practice regimen with exercises that capitalize on my progress. I've never had that before.

like most TAC members I have had a long history of starting and stopping on my guitar journey. This includes years when I never took my guitar out of the case, and when I did I didn't know what to play or focus on. Joining TAC about 2 months ago has helped to reignite my passion to play and play well. The lessons are short and focused which helps with taking "smaller bites of the elephant". I've made measurable progress following these lessons and would recommend TAC to anyone who wants to improve their playing. Thanks Tony. My Martin HD28 loves being out in the sunshine again.
