Actually , I’ve been a TAC member since 2020, it was my mental health retreat when schools shut down and came back hybrid! I ve struggled wit consistency once school doubled back on us and required more time and effort. Then I retired but had developed R shoulder bursitis and tendinitis so the struggle continued. I was about to just drop my membership but when I decided to give my last month some dedication I realized just how much I appreciated Tony’s teaching style, that I was as getting some finger picking skills and the lessons that were showing up really appealed to me! So now lm trying to resubscribe with the lifetime membership. Alas, I had to change email address and my credit card/bank did an excellent job of shutting everything down for security. So I’m trying retrying to reestablish my account and get on with it! I am doing the journal and setting attainable goals!

I am struggling with finding a time during the day to commit to my guitar routine. I like the course, the 30 "warm up" and have started some of the weekly/daily challenges. It is a new way for me to get involved with the guitar and makes it less intimidating. The format with the videos and the play alongs helps immeasurably and I thank you much for these. What fingers to use on what frets is sometimes hard to figure out but it is getting better. I will get better with the 90 day focus.

I really don’t know if it’s right to leave 5 stars since I just joined. I feel it’s mostly up to me making sure I apply myself and be diligent to give it a 5 star rating. That being said, I like the sessions. They’re short and to the point. You can go back over them when you want to and move at your own pace. At this point, it’s still a challenge to arrange time to play as it hasn’t become what I would call “fun” yet, but I’m learning at a rate where I think it is not too far in the future for it to be so. I’m glad I joined, I have a beautiful Taylor that’s just been sitting here because I never really mastered it and then got bored playing the same old things. I hope this time I can do it justice.

So far, so good! The TAC program has me excited for what's next, every day. As a lifelong beginner who has taken lessons in person, this program allows me the freedom to explore. Given that my TAC journey has only been a week I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. My goal is to be able to sound like I know what I'm doing this summer...... Beyond that, who knows...

I am about to hit my two year anniversary or being part of Tony's Acoustic Challenge and have learned so much. When I first started, I could play general chords and had a decent repertoire of covers along with others I've written. In the last two years, I have written at least 20 new songs using the skills from this program. I can now play up and down the fretboard, connect the dots of music theory, play individual notes with pick accuracy, palm mute, use vibrato, solo over a backing track, use alternative tuning, and use a slide. I've never been this consistent in playing and I'm currently on a 160 day playing streak. The challenges are fun, Tony is personable/relatable, and the community is kind.

I like the structure of the program that allows for some flexibility at the same time. Managing expectations is important and the program does that well.
