When I saw Tony's intro video pop up in my FB wall, I was intrigued. I took the hop on the link and watched his full video about his 30 Day Challenge. I was skeptical. Not because I didn't think he could teach guitar, but because I had tried before and just lost interest. As he so aptly stated - it was work. Would I pay for his program and then not stick with it? - again?
Yeah, I am only in my first week. Tony suggests ways to make playing a habit. Well just working the blues shuffle I find myself looking for every opportunity to pick up the guitar.
This program meets it's hype. Learning this way is fun. Every lesson you feel you have accomplished something and playing is fun. You are becoming a guitar player. Yeah, I feel like I will stick with Tony for some time to come.

I think your approach puts forth an easier yet softer approach to playing Guitar, If is something that I previously viewed as finger hurting playing process that left me wondering if I wanted to play Guitar at all.

I want to share a unique and absolutely terrific experience I have been enjoying for the past 56 days! I decided in December to start taking guitar lessons again. Parkway Music (my local music store) no longer offers face-to-face lessons in-house (since Covid), so I took an alternative approach. Online lessons. I bought one year of lessons from Tony's Acoustic Challenge (TAC). My Bachelor's degree is in psychology, so I have to tell you, Tony Polecastro must have at least an honorary degree in psychology, because he uses so many principles of learning, positive reinforcement, self-paced learning, you name it! I LOVE love the program. I have played at least 10 minutes nearly every day. The first 30 days was great, i am in the "learn 6 chord" section now. Having something to work on each day is inspiring and helps keep me on track. I originally learned to play guitar when I was 10; I am 61 and have picked up and put down the guitar several times... never really inspired to build up calluses and get fully engaged... I have several song books and rotate between the exercises, the fretting, and playing songs that use the chords that I know (and can play better than anytime in recent memory...
Thanks for showing up on my feed and actually making it fun and easy to PLAY the guitar. I am committed to playing for 6 months before buying myself another one; it will likely be a parlor sized guitar because i am only 5' 2"... my shoulders get tired, etc.

Great program for someone like me who has fiddled with the guitar for years but has made little progress. TAC provides opportunities to learn new skills and to build on them -- along with keeping you interested in playing and learning more.

Enjoyed the 30 days to play and the 5 day skills development and habit building sessions. The one thing I feel is lost when the Acoustic Tuesday TAC did not match the app Tuesday sessions. Also i have resolved to learn most of the items per day but not sign them as complete until I’ve mastered the lesson. To me it feels wrong or untrue to say I completed it simple because I spent 10-20 minutes working on the lessons. Not sure if that violates the spirit of the course but I love that it challenges me every time I go in and is helping build skills and understanding. I also talked my brother into joining!
