I’m enjoying my first week of TAC. Tony’s lessons are broken down well and allows me to practice at my own pace. I’ve always wanted to play the blues and now I may be able to.

This program has motivated me to practice everyday I am 76 and have been plinking around since I returned from Vietnam in ‘68. I really think this program is going to stick this time. So, here I am breaking in my finger tips and getting my fingers to respond. I have some old rafting buddies and we would play” folk” in cowboy bars in Eastern Oregon and Nevada for free beer. The Stink Pickle Boys. After all these years I am still a beginner but Tony I think your enthusiasm through your program is what the music doctor ordered. In the pic I’m the pickle on the Left.

I was hesitant at first, but I’m so glad I took the plunge! I’ve played guitar off and on for years. I got to the point where I could play lots of chords but that was about it. I couldn’t really flat pick, I always defaulted to one or two strumming patterns and I just stopped progressing.When I found Tony’s site I was hesitant because I thought it would be too slow for me and it would take me a while to get into the stuff that would really have me improving. Boy was I wrong!!!I ran through the 30 days to play in a day or two to make sure I had the basics down and I was off and running. Each day of the acoustic challenge has been awesome and I’m learning something new everyday. I finally feel like I’m going to start making some real improvement and broadening my guitar knowledge and skills. The best part is, I’m having a blast!

I am a beginning player and really love the structure of Tony's methodology. Just like anything else, my progress is 100% up to what time and effort I put into it. Tony does a great job keeping me motivated and accountable.

I’m enjoying the 30 day challenge course very much! But having a tough time with the fretboard knowledge course. I’m behind, and struggling with the first exercise, Positioning for finding notes. But that’s my fault, not the course and understand I need to get through it.

This is my second time to go through 30 days to play and previously went much further into the instruction. Stopped moving forward about 3 years ago due to arthritic hands and fingers. Doing again now because I have more time and love the guitar. I previously wanted to be a really good finger picker, now I just want to enjoy learning and playing, and do whatever I can. The lessons are great, easy to follow, practice and repeat. My main struggle now is fretting hand and finger position, having to release one finger to reach the next position with another finger. Oh well, any insight from you on that would be appreciated. All the best! ArvelP.S. My favorite guitar is Martin 000-28. Backup is Breedlove Myrtlewood Oregon Concert E. Have a Gretsch Chet Atkins I’ve never played.
