Finished the first chapter, created, textured and animated my Basic Bot. Absolutely fantastic course so far. I'm an intermediate beginner, and this course is challenging at my current level, but the excellent explanations, troubleshooting and great community to help out in a pinch makes this an incredible experience.

I just finished this chapter and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The Fish Bot animation scene with its retro-style spaceship, playful robot character, and soft lighting was an absolute pleasure to create and bring to life. It seamlessly combined all the core skills we've been developing throughout the course, including modelling, texturing, lighting, and animation. A huge thank you to Louis du Mont for his clear, engaging, and thoughtfully paced instruction. His guidance made even the more complex steps approachable, and his practical tips significantly enhanced my technical understanding and creative workflow. While I’ve worked on other scenes before, this one stood out as especially enjoyable and rewarding to complete. Louis is incredibly creative and his enthusiasm for the craft is infectious. This course is designed to be completed in order-- the later episodes assume a certain amount of retained knowledge from the earlier ones-- I found myself having to go back and brush up on some of the earlier techniques! (Which is likely good practice anyway!)
