It's great to have a course showing you the production of a short animation from start to finish. To archive that, the course is for more advanced users who have a basic knowledge of every step. Some minor issues were quickly resolved by the CG Boost team because I used the current version of Blender and there were some changes to the course version. You get two projects in one course with different approaches. I'm very glad to have made my way through the end.

The Robotic Planet Course has been a truly delightful experience! Louis's teaching style is entertaining and engaging, making each lesson a joy to learn from. The course covers a wide range of topics, including different modeling styles, procedural material creation, geometry nodes, animation, compositing, and more. The course is valuable for all!

This course is a great introduction to the production pipeline for an animation project: concept creation tips, storyboarding examples, various modeling approaches, convincing re-usable material setups, rigging magic, animation essentials, compositing/post-processing hacks, and more. Easy to follow. Very experienced and very very inspiring instructor. Lots of fun combined with a solid knowledge base… ...and with lovely robots.

A very complete instructional course that a beginner with a fundamental knowledge of Blender's interface can vastly improve CG skills. With a working understanding of basic modeling skills, the instructor kindly takes the student well beyond the basics. The course is very complex: a comprehensive study of advanced modeling, a deep dive into materials and node systems, and setting up rigging armatures and animations. In a word, this course is "comprehensive". I would highly recommend Robotic Planet for anyone wanting to improve their computer graphics skills.

Another outstanding course from CG Boost! Louis is an excellent instructor. I learned lots of new things, like alternative modeling techniques and animation tricks, and now I feel much better equipped to make my own robots.

I loved everything. The enthusiasm of Louis teaching is something that is hard to find nowadays on the internet; we can see it's a true passion for him to teach us all of that stuff. I believe that it is not only Louis that does that because I already saw the Cubic Worlds course and Zach was an amazing teacher too, always trying to make the course learnable and funny, so I hope and believe that this is the essence of CG Boost Academy. I really liked how it was shown how the camera, colors, and materials work in real life and how to bring that reality into Blender. I learned a lot of stuff about modeling, principally how to add primitive shapes faster, and let me tell you, it's a life changer. It saves so much time that from now on I will always use it for my own projects, hahaha. One thing that I wanted so much to learn was “nodes” in Blender. I really like that type of stuff, it's like programming, but with puzzles, we need to connect each piece to achieve the final result, and with Louis, I learned more than watching some YouTube videos; here we can find every single step, from the beginning to the end. The only thing that I didn't like so much was animating the Fish Bot… It was so much stuff that sometimes I got lost and needed to go all the way back on the video to understand what Louis was doing and why.
