We were about to receive three rescue chickens so needed a coop really quickly. Quyen was our contact person and was so helpful through the process with our questions. Delivery was within the week. It would have only taken us a few hours to assemble if we put it up as intended but we modified ours in a big way. System is very easy to modify if you are handy. I know the changes we made to our coop void our warranty but thought you might be interested in what we did. Obviously we painted it the same colour scheme as our house but then went a bit mental with the other changes. · Updated the door into a Dutch door (opens in two sections) so that we can just open the top to put in the chook veggies without them racing out. · Insulated the inside of the coop and then put some MDF on it to also sound proof it and painted it a jazzy turquoise colour and put in some family portraits. · Adjusted the nesting box as our Isa Browns are too big for the three box and we have made it a two box. · Added a little stay to keep the lid up while we collected eggs. · Moved the original nesting box spot to the back as it blocked our pathway. · Changed the roost perches to old round curtain rods which is better for them to grip and up much higher. · Added a gutter to catch the rain and are in the process of hooking it up to a water tank.
