My son has been in and out of different rehabilitation centers for several years, and this is the first one that has made a huge difference in his life. He has been there over 6 months now and is truly recovering. Tim and Lissa offer help to the one fighting addiction as well as hope to their families. It is a wonderful place and I had the opportunity to witness last month just how much love that is shown between Lissa and Tim and the guys staying there. Everything there is Bible based giving each one guidance, hope, and inspiration to get well!! If you need a Christian home for a family member suffering from addiction, this is the place to come.

Pastor Tim and his wife Lissa have been helping the lives of our sons and daughters who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol for many years. She is a wonderful counselor and he is always studying the Lords’ word and earning additional honors, awards, certificates and even his Doctorste degree in theology because he is so hungry for the Lords’ word!! He has helped one of my own family members and so did she. He even gave him a ride to CR even though he wasn’t even living in the recovery house AND told him to call him anytime of the day or night if he felt the urge to use again! Who does that anymore? They have also supported the feeding of the homeless at Thanksgiving and Christmas and went to Georgia and NC to help with post disaster care! They really show our community the love of the Lord through their time, money and organizational skills. Sonshine Ministry is a wonderful blessing to our community but there are times Pastor Tim has do physical labor to earn additional income to pay all the bills and feed all the men or women! He has worked hard to help us with our free family family festival for God and the renovation of Wisteria Oaks for a Christian retreat and event center as well! We love this ministry and highly encourage others to support the work that they do!

Sonshine Ministries is a very reputable recovery ministry. They turned my sons life around and pastor Tim and his wife Lissa have become family. This ministry truly cares about people, i know the people that reach out for help have to do the work but this ministry teaches their residents to manage everyday life situations that could affect their recovery, they are taught structure, responsibility ,self control , self respect and the most important thing, they are taught the love of God. Sonshine ministries is dedicated to helping anyone that wants to recover and go on to live a life drug free. The residents are involved with church , they attend classes with their peers and leaders who understand the emotions and hard work that these young men have to put in for a better future. The support system is awesome and the line of communication is always open. There are rules and regulations in place that have to be followed in order for the goals to be achieved. Christ centered recovery!!

I have the utmost respect for Rev. Tim and his wife Lissa. My son was in this program and it helped him tremendously with learning how to deal with his addiction. They are both willing to help anyone with addiction and are both very well trained to do their job.

I was a two time corpse before walking in the ministry. Tim and lissa made me feel more than welcome I felt like I was with honest to goodness family. They showed me a new way of life even made me a leader in the house, and if you were to know the old me I was totally against authority. If you struggle this is the place to go the whole experience was worth everything. Tim and lissa I love you guys. Thanks for saving this ole boys life. God bless

I've been in /out of recovery for years....after having 7 years of sobriety, I had an 8 day demoralizing relapse. My depression, hopelessness and despair returned. Although I still had a good job, a good supportive family....I knew where I was headed. Jails, Institutions...death!!! By God's mercy....Tim and Lissa showed up on a family members Facebook page. I was able to join Son Shine ministry men's recovery house as the doors were opening. I truly believe God used my knowledge of recovery to help some of the men who came in after me...To watch men (and myself) grow out of despair and hopelessness, to strong, self-reliant, giving individuals....is truly one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive. My inner peace with God has been restored to levels I've never known. My relationships are stronger than ever. I owe so much gratitude to Tim and Lissa for the unselfish work (God's work) that they do, to help the sick and suffering addict/alcoholic everyday...If you're in a place where you feel hopeless....there IS HOPE!!! God loves you...give Son Shine ministries a call... It's the best call I ever made!!!
