My favorite part of the trip was learning about the culture of Portugal through our Expedition Leader, as they introduced us to local vendors, people and food. Their stories brought a beautiful richness to the tour.

I loved seeing the vineyards, learning about the culture, and experiencing the fun and fellowship. This trip was a rich tapestry of experiences--thank you. As novice travelers, we appreciated the organization and safety throughout.

There are too many wonderful memories from the trip to list just one as my favorite!

Paddling the Douro River and sharing dinners with the group were memorable highlights!

On our second day of kayaking, there was a moment of perfect peace as the sun and clouds passed over the vineyards, casting shapes on the landscape. During my flight home, I reflected on how to describe this trip, and one word consistently came to mind: "obrigada" (thank you). This journey to Portugal has left me deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible. I am thankful for the well-planned schedule, flexibility, unique cultural experiences, warm welcomes at each accommodation and dedication to excellence. Nat Hab shared a part of the world with us that I now hold close to my heart. My gratitude feels immeasurable, and I can only offer another heartfelt "Obrigada!" I hope to return to the river someday.

All accommodations were wonderful, and every meal was enjoyable. I especially appreciated the long, multi-course dinners with plenty of wine and Portuguese pastries. The paddling was fantastic, and the accommodations were exceptional. Walking through the small towns, especially Murça, was also a true delight.

Our Expedition Leader was wonderful! They were attentive to everyone’s needs and concerns, knowledgeable about the river and local history, and made our anniversary very special. I enjoyed the variety of transportation--trains, boats, vans and kayaks. The kayaking was fun, the scenery was beautiful, the train ride offered wonderful views of the countryside, the tour and tasting in Porto was enlightening, and the unique, beautiful places we stayed were incredible.

The trip was meticulously organized and well-designed. All accommodations were unique and of the highest quality. Every meal was delicious, and I appreciated the uniqueness of each day. The entire trip was fantastic.

From the wonderful paddling opportunities to a genuine exposure to local culture and customs, the trip was enriching. The entire expedition crew was always on hand and prioritized safety. The vans, kayaks, paddles and all related equipment were of high quality. We loved the mix of luxury and authenticity. The food, emphasizing locally produced dishes, was a trip highlight. Walking around the villages and vineyards where we stayed, getting off the beaten path and experiencing rural Portugal was memorable.

Our Expedition Leader was adept at tuning into our desires and turning them into reality. Her profound knowledge of each place we visited was impressive. I enjoyed all the activities, from the port tour and tasting to the museum visit, boat ride and meals at historic lodgings.

Kayaking was a delightful experience, and other excursions were both informative and gave a deep understanding of the culture. The accommodations were top-notch! I liked that sustainability was emphasized throughout the trip.
