Even though I didn't get the answer I wanted, primarily due to requesting permission for satire rather than straight covers, it was good to finally get a definitive answers from the publishers so I could make decisions and move on. They don't call it Easy Song Licensing for nothing. Other services make you fill in forms twice for the same song (one for digital and one for CD, with processing fee for each version), but if you're offering both digital downloads and hard copy CD with Easy Song Licensing, you only have to fill in the information once, and only have one processing fee to pay. Plus, I got 20% off their fee, just when I needed it. I paid a small fee ($29 for the whole album) to be able to renew fee-free for life, so I can keep current with licenses. I needed to clear up some publishing/writer credits having to do with multiple arrangements of a couple of older songs -- something that was not do-able on their site, but one of their agents, Patrick, got back to me within minutes. We were able to cross all the Ts and dot all the Is, and get these songs licensed just in time for the record's release. Great customer service! Thanks!

I knew I needed licensing for the songs we wanted to perform, but didn't know exactly what was needed. After typing in various licensing questions on Google, I happened on to the Easy Song Licensing website. I was super excited because their site is so informative and easy to understand. With examples and simple language they explain the different types of licensing needed for different situations. This was extremely helpful. I filled out my licensing requests and easily paid the fee to get the process started. Unfortunately, COVID challenges got our show planning off to a LATE start and I wasn't sure if the licensing would come through in time. Once I submitted my request, I quickly heard back from Tim Kosel. In detail he explained that due to the time needed for the license to clear he did not think I would obtain it in time for our show. He offered me a refund and said he would be doing me a "disservice" if he took my money. He also said, "There are a lot of variables outside of our control, but we always like to educate our clients the best we can to break down all logistics for music rights permissions." He refunded my money immediately and continued to assist me by answering some other questions I had. Honesty and integrity are still alive! I appreciate that and I can't wait to use their services in the future!
